As a southerner visiting this establishment I must admit I had reservations about eating bbq in California. Boy, was I proven to be wrong. What a delightful place to grab a bite to eat. If you're visiting Hayfork and your host doesn't take you to Cali Jay's BBQ, you might want to reconsider the relationship. I ordered the brisket sandwich with fries and Carolina sauce. The meal came with skin-on fries. Jeeezzz. What a delicious meal. Not a crumb left. The meal was so good we went back for seconds the following day. Quality meal at a fair price.
