I've been eating at Lomitas for over a year. Each time the main thing I get Is Chicken nachos because they started out so delicious but gradually have hit a major decline. I often get take out which is hit and miss now today I can't possibly order here again. Unless you like green peppers uncooked, crispy and the full size of a dill pickle, little to no queso (cheese) and no other onions or peppers cooked or not. Very few chips with clumps of chicken on top of everything, not hot or seasoned as usual. I have in the past asked for more queso on the side and recieved hardly any on the nachos and a measly cup to pour on as well. This was asked as extra not replacement queso. I have pictures of the degree I have been served over a year even asking for several improvements. Since this was just a minor meal, I suppose my requests were disregarded. No matter what order, it should be quality. The best food I have had at this establishment is the chips and salsa. I'm sorry to say, I will not be returning and it doesn't not seem high caliber enough to the owners to matter. I really enjoyed this restaurant until this point. I really wish I could post the pictures of today's chicken nachos, more 2/3 huge uncooked green peppers sliced the long way, very few chips, queso?..., and chicken I couldn't even eat lumped on top. I have shown many people who cannot believe I was served this even as a longtime customer. It was not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really wanted to leave a nice review, but I can't give 5 stars. We arrived for lunch, and were told we could sit anywhere by a woman server. We sat in a booth. Waited about 10 minutes for just menus. I got up and grabbed them for us. -1
A younger woman approached us and stood at the end of the table. She was silent, so we started ordering, she said "drinks only." -1
She came back with drinks and chips/salsa. She didn't let us order food. The woman who told us to sit wherever took our food order.
I got the burritos tipicos (comes with beef tips, potatoes, red sauce, lettuce, tomato, sour cream). I asked for no SC since I can't have dairy. Food came, there was shredded cheese and cheese sauces all over (not listed under tipicos on the menu) and sour cream on top. I asked for it to be remade, AND with no cheese. She said "oh, no cheese too?" I said yes please. -1
She brought back a new dish pretty quick, I mentioned that cheese isn't on this item on the menu or else I would have said no cheese, as well. She said "ok". I opened it and there were no potatoes. I ate it, it was decent anyways. -1
I find this frequently - putting things on the dish that isn't on the menu. I need to mention that my guest's dish had no issues. +1 Over all the atmosphere and service was typical for a Mexican restaurant like this. Not too busy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place has been slipping the last year, service is hit or miss, went about 6 months ago and a roach crawled across the table, even though they gave us our food free I decided not to go back for a while hoping they'd get the critters under control. Went in last night, the salsa had so much cilantro in it that it was more green than red, ordered a burrito and was served an overly greasy corn shell topped with bland enchilada sauce, someone else ordered the spicest entre on the menu and it was so bland they had to drown it in salsa to give it flavor. I won't...
