Poppyseeds Bagels — Restaurant in Weddington

Horrible store in Indian trail NC you would think they have nothing to do with the one on chestnut lane ordered a toasted sesame seed bagel with ham and cheese And mayo. Receive my bagel and went home as soon as I saw it I laugh thinking this is some kind of joke wasn't toasted and if it was it was lightly toasted which I did not ask for oh well on to the sandwich it came with one side of the bagel had mayo one slice of ham and one slice of cheese I could not believe this I'm born and raised in NYC and you wouldn't find any store that will give you just one slice of ham and cheese they will be out of business. Well took the bagel back and talk to someone behind the counter I explain my situation and he told me they come with two slices of ham so please tell me where in NYC you get just two slices of ham nowhere so don't try to pass like this store represents NYC because it doesn't. Well he took the sandwich and open it and he told me she only put one slice of cheese and one slice of ham so he told me he will add another piece of ham really i just drove all the way home and then he wants to give me a slice of ham no thank you ask him for my money back and he told me he doesn't know how to give refunds so I asked him if I can speak to the owners and he told me he doesn't know where they are asked if they where in one of the others stores he said no but I guess since I kept insisting to speak to the owners he remember how to give refunds and gave me my money back I know this store just opened I have been to the chestnut lane store for years and always had a good sandwich hope the owners read this and work on the Indian trail store he is a picture...

I don’t usually leave reviews but this place is really not very good. I used to think it was fine but my last experience was so bad I felt the need to comment. This place has become absurdly overpriced- a bacon, one egg and cheese on a bagel is upwards of $10 (depends on who is charging and what day it is because they have signs all over to tell you they have the right to change prices at any time “due to rising costs”). There was one slice of bacon on the sandwich and the bacon was barely cooked and sliced so thin you could read a newspaper through it. The bagel was not well made, it was too chewy - almost like it wasn’t proofed properly and barely had any topping. I have enjoyed poppyseeds for many years, I have never been disappointed. Unfortunately, today I had a bad experience with one of the ladies working there. There was a mess up on my food, which is perfectly okay & understandable. When I brought it up to her attention she was visibly annoyed about the situation. I work in food service as well, so I understand there may be frustrations but the way she went about the situation was unprofessional. She made it very clear she was not happy to help and I felt weird about the whole situation. There is definitely a better to go about...
