I found the whole experience very disappointing. I think it is very important to support family-owned businesses. However, I am sad to say I can not support this one. I did not get what I ordered at all. I ordered an egg plant parmigiana small hot sandwich. When I received my order, I knew instantly was not eggplant parm it tasted like veal or chicken. When I asked the waitress, she said no, that was the eggplant parm sub. I also asked for garlic knots. Normally, when you order garlic knots at an Italian restaurant, they are covered in olive oil and actually pieces of garlic these were not. They were overdone to a very dark brown, completely dry and dusted with garlic powder and Parmesan Shake cheese. No olive oil or actual garlic on them. As the dinner progressed, I asked for a cappuccino, and the waitress said "they do not do cappuccino. However, they put a pot of black coffee on." I've never been to an Italian restaurant that's doesn't serve a cappuccino. When the bill came, I looked at it, and my receipt said that I ordered a veal parmigiana hot sub instead of the eggplant parmigiana sub I ordered and when I brought this to the waitresses attention. She still refused to admit the mistake she said that what I received was the eggplant parmigiana sub, and it was just a computer glitch with the receipt. They didn't admit for giving me the wrong meal, much less apologize, or offer to refund me for my meal. Which was the least that they could do considering I didn't get what I ordered, which I knew, and the receipt proved that. The only thing I can say that was good about the meal is I got a piece of cheesecake that I shared with somebody else and it was very good! Overall, there are plenty of great family-owned Italian restaurants in the area, sad to say this is not one of them. I will not be choosing...
Read moreETA: After a few months of many, many visits I want to update my review by saying that this place is a great little family run restaurant! I believe the one time I had a bad experience was a fluke as the many times we've been back has been all good. I look forward to going there every week for their all you can eat spaghetti dinner.. thank you for changing my mind!
I'm very disappointed in the food and how I was treated by what I assume was the owner when I mentioned the issues to him. I've been sick from the food for the entire evening and now it's early the next morning and I might finally get back to sleep. I ordered the chicken alfredo which I've ordered from here many times but this time it had an odd texture and tasted off so I mentioned it to the waitress and she told the owner who in turn basically tells me tough luck! Like he didn't care and he actually argued with me and said that I was wrong... well me being sick after eating the little that I did should say that I was right! The worst part, besides the bathroom visits and lack of sleep, is that I paid over 20 bucks for something I didn't even finish! No discount at all! I tell ya that's pretty bad... when a customer had an issue with our food we comped the meal at the least and most definitely didn't argue with the customer or have a snotty attitude! I won't be eating here again and I suggest whoever reads this review heeds my warning to beware of...
Read moreJust moved here from western fogelsville and wanted to try the local Italian place. We went there about 3 weeks ago. My wife ordered the chicken parm for $22. Eggplant parm came out 1st. Then they corrected it and brought out "chicken parm." The chicken was literally 2 frozen chicken patties with square pieces of cheese on it that they heated up. Zero question about it being pre- formed frozen chicken patties. Can't call themselves a real Italian place that doesn't even make their own breaded chicken. But yet they charge like a real Italian restaurant. For 2 chicken patties and noodles it should be $14. Rip off at 22. My brother ordered chicken Alfredo pasta. They forgot the chicken originally and it looks like they just opened a jar of Alfredo sauce and dumped it over the noodles. 2 of 3 orders were incorrect. We thought it was weird that the waitress didn't write down our order and went by memory. Gave it 2 stars because the pizza was average. Really hoping Giovannis pizza is better because we like having good Italian within a few minutes. Won't be returning for those prices and quality. I have frozen chicken patties, jars of sauce and noodles at home for...
