Geno's Sports Bar And Grill — Restaurant in Weldon Township

I ordered a wet burrito. They brought a ground beef burrito. I asked them to make it over as I don’t eat ground beef but only chicken. I said, I don’t know how I ordered it but I want chicken. I didn’t know there was a ground beef one as I only saw chicken wet burrito or I would’ve specified. However, being a previous waitress myself, I feel like if somebody orders a generic version of something you have more than one of you should ask them chicken or beef. THEY CHARGED ME FOR BOTH BURRITOS. I didn’t even take a bite of the beef one I’d only cut it open. They never even asked me if I wanted to take it home well knowing they had to charge me. Yes I would’ve taken it home had I known I would get charged for it. I was camping with a group of people and someone would have eaten it. I gave the waitress a 30% tip that she really didn’t even earn. She was attentive, but had a bad attitude. I didn’t realize the double charge until I had left. And I did hear her telling a coworker that it wasn’t her fault, and it wasn’t on the bill. I had no idea she was going to put it on there. I will never go back. We had a large party, and they made enough money to justify making my meal over. I’ve sent a plate back less than a handful of times in the last 30 years, and we go out to eat a lot....

We had a very unfortunate experience here on a Thursday evening. We showed up after the dinner rush and were seated, then ignored for a while - I believe there was confusion as to which server was handling our table. Our food order was then not entered in until we had been waiting for over 40 minutes and saw three tables that ordered either after us or at around the same time get and eat most of their food. Once it was discovered, it took another 15 minutes to get our food. My burger, ordered medium, was beyond well done - dry and charred on the outside. The server attempted to rectify the situation by offering us free sides and appetizers while we waited, but it was too late at that point. I really wanted to like Geno’s after some good lunch experiences here but it will be difficult to return after tonight. We also had a patron sitting nearby unleash a disrespectful outburst at us, with various personal insults...

I go here quit often and usually the food is excellent (-not today though-). I ordered the 3 topper pizza (the Monday special for $9) and first off the toppings were messed up and they didn’t even offer to remake it they just brought us the topping that was missing. Also the pizza was burnt & the toppings were falling off. We had also ordered fried mushrooms and hot poppers both were also burnt and very hard to chew. I’ve had this happen in the past also with food being over cooked. Idk who is making this food but they need to pay attention to how long their frying/cooking it for. I honestly don’t know if I want to go to this location again, this was the worst experience I’ve had with food at any restaurant.
