p.s. Sorry for long review! After being here more than just a "couple" times, I have had many different experiences here. The first experience was by far my best. I will try to compare/contrast the experiences the best I can. The first time was the most pleasant experience, sometime around 3 months after this place opened for business, back in 2015. My first experience consisted of us walking in and getting lucky, who I assume the older man with curly grey hair being Mr. Pezzimenti himself. He was so enthusiastic about his menu in it's entire. He said all of the dough is hand made, all ingredients fresh, and so on. I believe that, and every single time the food was exceptional. The other times I went in was a bit different, but not on the food quality. Maybe i've got a biased opinion on what I expect because of my first experience, but compared to the enthusiasm in the first experience that the first guy gave me, the other employees simply don't have that. I only wish they had as much enthusiasm as The owner, or first guy, whomever. Also, the location is a bad location, which may hinder this place growing very large without newspaper ads, ect.
Pros Great food (food quality consistent) Exceptional customer service from Mr. Pezzimenti "Hidden Gem" eatery
Cons Decor isn't themed (minor) Employees other than owner seem to lack motivation Pricey (large pizzas expensive)
Recommendations for improvement Waiters don't employ any sales tactics (such as offering dessert, alcohol, anything which may improve profitability (don't want to see this place close) Add Italian style decor (but don't replicate olive garden, make it unique) Wish waiters would pay a little more attention to the customer, but not so much it ruins the experience.
Also btw, your big sign next to corporate parkway, it is faced horizontally from corporate parkway. If it was faced so you could see it head on (billboard style) while driving down corporate parkway, and the sign has lighting, people may notice your store more (minor details...
Read moreI work at Pezzimenti’s Cafe, my name is Dawn and you can contact me directly st the cafe, or speak with the manager Megan, who can get In touch with me. I would like to start this review with this information regarding the fake and bogus reviews below, which are illegal, under the “Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations - traders: OFT1008 This guidance is principally intended to help traders to comply with the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 (CPRs).” Also, bringing the owners teenage son into a garbage review is a true relection of someone’s character, which would come through when upstanding patrons read that trash. So I strongly suggest, in the future, to think before writing a false review. Chris Small and the other alias’s , I am a proud employee of Pezzimenti’s Cafe and reading this kind of review, I take personally. I was there during this review and all weekend, and my pride I take in my job is noticed by customers, employees, and management. The restaurant is clean, and has had 100% on food inspections. We have a lunch buffet Monday though Friday, which is handled by two of Pezzimenti’s Cafe managers, who are grown adults and do a fantastic job. If there ever is an issue with the buffet, please bring it to either managers present, as everything is made fresh daily, and they will handle your concern ASAP. I’ve read to many reviews that were extremely damaging, however it has never been addressed while the patron was present in the restaurant which I find, as an employee, suspicious. Making fraudulent reviews can be very damaging to small business owners, I would hope this isn’t the case, as reviews can be traced for authenticity. If you do have your receipt from the day in question, I’d be happy to speak with you directly and make it right. We can not do anything to fix your concerns if you do not approach us while you are...
Read moreWorst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I ordered a lasagna for a friend's birthday yesterday, and was told I could pick up the dish today at 10am. I get there at 10am and the doors are locked, I knock; no answer. I then call and a lady states they are closed, and I inform her I am only here to pick up a lasagna. She opens the door and starts to tell me about an issue with their water bill, which is indeed unfortunate, but I am here to quickly pick up this food and get back to work. She even said "I will honor our arrangement this time." which makes no sense because I paid yesterday over the phone.
I asked about the lasagna and she says that they had me down for a fettuccine, not lasagna. I tell her it was definitely a lasagna but I will take the fettuccine. She tells me it will only take a minute to warm up. 15 minutes later she comes out with the food. I explain to her that I am not satisfied at all that from my point of view:
She forgot about the order The order was incorrect The food was not ready and you greet me like you're doing me a favor by honoring my purchase Complain about issues that really have nothing to do with me or my order Could have called and let me known that my order could not be fulfilled
She just bluntly asks if I want my money back. At this point I really did not want to deal with her or be at this place any longer so I accept the refund.
While she is working this out, she asks me what kind of work I do. I told her it's no concern of her's. She then states that she hopes I don't ever have to put up with someone like myself. I replied with well I hope you don't ever have to experience poor service like I have today. She also confirmed that she was the co-owner of the cafe.
I discussed with my co-workers and they suggested I write this review. It looks like it will be in good company with these other...
