Las Palmas — Restaurant in West Allis

I was here most recently on Saturday afternoon (6/30/18). Walked in the front door and waited a while to be seated. No one greeted us. I finally went up to the hostess and bartender who were talking amongst themselves, and asked if I should just seat myself or..? She reluctantly sat us as though I had interrupted their convo. There was NO a/c and it was 100 degrees out! We waited 10 more min. for our waitress to finally come to our table. This place was NOT that busy; 6 tables, tops. She brings no water on this hot day, in this hot place! Even after we ordered drinks, she took forever. In the meantime, I had to go to and get my own water from the bartender who was, again, conversing with the hostess. The AYCE crab legs are advertised as being $40. They're not. They are $50 and gross! Tasted like a salty tin can. And you'd have to eat 5 lbs. of that grossness to even get your money's worth! My son spilled his water, and they gave me napkins to clean it up MYSELF! Lol! Not that I minded, but how odd! The rice & beans I received as a side were bland. The food was adequate but we had issues with the place. Obviously not the same place as when the Youngs owned and operated it. First, the decor is quite off. They have the big amazing windows that really make the place pop but they use cheap inadequate decor Nd furniture. They could use a decorator and upscale the place. The table we had kept wobbling back and forth nearly spilling our drinks.

2nd , They failed to honor purchased coupons from restaurant.com. they have had a business arrangement with them to accept these coupons since 2015. When we tried to pay with these purchased discount coupons, they refused to honor them and were overly direct, unapologetic, and had to be argued with to ask the manager/owner, who sent the waitress back to again say they don't honor the coupons instead of coming themselves to explain or address the situation.

They way they handled the entire situation left a bad taste in out party of 7 and left us all agreeing not to visit this location again.

Unfortunate because this place could be so much more, like it used to be.

Went for my bf's Birthday and had the worst service ever. Woman server was rude to us from the jump for no reason at all and wouldn't accommodate our requests. All 6 of us planned to get the ayce crab and spend a good amount of $$$. We had two toddlers with us so we asked if we cld add a table to have more space to eat and asked for more chips and salsa at the table and were denied and ignored. The waitress at one point even tried to take a chair away from us before the rest of our group arrived in an empty restaurant why idk. Had to beg for service and were crammed and uncomfortable. Not to mention they had no air conditioning on a hot 80 degree evening. Food was great on a better note. The waitress honestly destroyed our get together with her bad attitude and service.
