I’ve been a loyal, consistent customer at Buenavista for the past 8+ years. Introduced so much of my family, friends n also coworkers to come support and give this place business but unfortunately that all stops after Wednesday 6/11. I ordered a taco dinner to-go, my order was taken by a male but the younger girl who you usually is on the register finished the transaction. Fast forward, she started making racist remarks / jokes about me in Spanish. Not only her but the cook and other guy back there were laughing to the point she tells them to “shh” while taking a short glance at me. I couldn’t believe how bold she was, I literally had a fire burning through my body but I still managed to politely tell them I no longer wanted the food and to give me my money back. All the jokes stopped then and he had the nerve to ask me “Are you okay? Why did you change your mind”? Let this be a moral to not just myself but others also, that people will smile in your face and really be against you! I’ve helped this business keep money in their pockets and feed their families meanwhile they don’t see nor respect me as a person. & to Ruben someone I’ve personally met and got to know a few times, I’m disappointed in who you chose to reflect your business. I was hoping that I had the girl confused but time and time again she has shown her nasty character. There is never a greeting, always a mug and feeling of superiority. I contemplated in even writing this review because I want to see everybody win but not when you blatantly disrespect another group of people that isn’t yours. She underestimated the fact that I knew Spanish which is why she felt confident enough to say what she said. & the more I think back to previous times, I realize that I gave her too much grace and she’s intentionally being provoking. Little does she know I recorded everything.. One bad employee can be the complete downfall of a...

I've been to this place a few times and it's always mediocre so you don't get the best service or the best food. Not the biggest deal.
Today, it was below mediocre. Right when we arrived, we weren't greeted and it took a good 5 minutes for me to place my order. Not a big deal since they were a little busy. I purchased a taco dinner, chimmichonga dinner, chicken tenders meal, horchata, and fried ice cream. My family found a table and waited for the chips and salsa. The chips and salsa took a while making it to our table. When the chips and salsa did arrive, the portions were laughably small. The salsa was 1/4 of the way filled. The chips were so small like a small handful and this is for a family of 3... The food took 20 mins to arrive at our table. When it did, the chicken tenders look and tasted dry, way over cooked, and flavorless. The chimichonga barely had any meat but was stuffed with so much cheese. We also asked for water, which took a bit to arrive at our table, and the lady only gave us one cup. We only ordered 1 drink before the water arrived so we all just shared 1 water and 1 horchata. The worst part of this meal was the fried ice cream for 6.99. The fried ice cream didn't come out. I had to remind the lady. I tried to leave and ask for a refund. The lady made it seem like it was almost done. But she still took a while when I really needed to leave. When we got the ice cream it was a joke. It was a scoop of vanilla ice cream with almost no whipped cream covered in stall hard corn flakes. It was so gross I had to throw it away. The service was a joke, the food was below mediocre, and this experience was awful. Save your hard earned money and go find another restaurant. This one isn't it. I also noticed how the older lady was more attentive to anyone hispanic but if you're not, they don't care for you much. I will never come back to this...
Read moreThis place is hit or miss and I personally don't care what anyone has to say. I stopped going here years ago for something and a few months back I stopped in and enjoyed my food sooo much. Fast forward to today and I'm pissed at the service and the food. I called in to place a phone order like before and the person taking the order repeated everything back to me. And I didn't think of it at the time, but I wanted flour tortillas instead of corn. When it was my time to speak to someone I mentioned that I wanted flour instead of corn and he told me that it was already made and that this is how they do it by default. (Now I've been to a few spots and I'm always asked corn or flour.) Basically saying tough. I then said well can you place them in there and I'll use those instead. I want to enjoy my food or I could've left it there. They gave me the flour tortillas, but that wasn't the only thing that was odd. The amount of meat in the taco was extremely minimal. Like they should be ashamed with how much they gave me. Also they gave me ground beef instead of steak in my tacos as if I wouldn't know the difference. I couldn't believe that! I got home and ate because I was hungry and hadn't eaten breakfast or lunch after being at work all day and put in extra hours. Yes the food was seasoned well but everything else was not good. I'm tired of going to places and the service is terrible and they expect a tip on top of that, smh. I have to remember not to stop in this place anymore.
I purchased a taco dinner, burrito dinner and a gordita.
Tip: the food is good when there's a line when there is no one there, it is probably not a...
