First time here and last time going unfortunately. I walked in, Didn’t see anyone around, Trying to find the right door to the restaurant. There was a man waiting just inside the door to the dining area? I didn’t know if they were still serving breakfast, as I arrived just a little after 11. So, I walked into the restaurant part? a lady saw me and looked at me as if she was a little confused as to why I was there. Not necessarily a friendly welcome.

I asked if they were still serving breakfast. She said yes, then quickly (not necessarily rudely) asked me to wait in the lobby as she’s seating someone.

I waited in the lobby and noticed a very strong fragrance smell. No-one was around except a man & his small child. I saw a scented burning candle. Not something I was expecting in a restaurant.

For people who are sensitive like me, shouldn’t be forced to endure an over powering artificial fragrance which btw, is toxic.

I used to work for a fragrance company who made fragrances specifically for candles & I know how toxic they can be. I believe having been exposed to those chemicals over years one reason why I developed a sensitivity to the point of headaches, nausea & in some cases, restricted breathing. I could feel a headache coming on and couldn’t wait so I left.

There are too many toxins in this world, I don’t need to add to that. If it’s someone personal space & preference, fine, but Not in a public space. Especially in enclosed area with no ventilation.

I wish people were more educated about these chemicals. Beeswax, tallow or at least a clean organic plant based (even that’s tricky) base are best and a 100% pure organic essential oils would be better in place of artificial fragrance or synthetic chemicals.

Still, the only thing I want to smell in a restaurant is...

The hostess that sat us could not have been any worse at customer service... rudest woman I’ve ever seen in a restaurant... she happen sit us at a table... I asked her if we could please have a boothā€..... im pregnant and I’d like to sit comfortably for my meal and since they’re we’re plenty available I figured I’d ask no big deal and I usually always do this it’s never an issue any where else...she said ā€œno id like to keep them open for other guestsā€with an attitude like I was asking for to much... there’s about 5 booths all open..Oh k...😐so I sat and the chairs were so hard at this point..I waited about 5 or so minutes..with still no service and decided I didn’t think I wanted to stay and give them my business after being so disrespected..I let her know she could now also have the table and the booth for the next customers with a smile...with the worst attitude on her face..she yelled merry Christmas as if I were having a bad day... I was never rude with her I just asked to be sat at a booth and I’m not alone so it’s not like it’s just me taking up a booth by myself..sorry but if a customer asks to sit at a booth wats the big deal to say sure.. way to show how much u care for ur business! I won’t be back to this dive that’s for sure... there’s a million restaurants for me to pick from... u should care a little more how u treat ur guests..customer service is Just as important...

The main attraction of this place is the outdoor deck overlooking a stream and a forest on the opposite shore. The friendly staff added to the allure. Unfortunately, the food was below average. My humble advice is to reduce the humongous size of their servings and to increase the quality of their ingredients. Orange juice was obviously from frozen concentrate. We didn’t order cappuccino because it was obvious from the menu that it was the powdered fake kind that came in ā€œflavors.ā€ The bacon was depressingly old stale and stiff. The round sausage patty looked so fake and rubbery that we didn’t dare taste it. The coup de grace was the ham. A thick stick of ham was included in my wife’s breakfast and it too was stiff and old and had a peculiar taste. I ordered a western omelet in part because the menu mentioned that it had ā€œBlack Forest ham.ā€ But it too had a strange and unappetizing taste to it. I will definitely return to this place when I am in the area because of the uniquely charming and memorable atmosphere of the deck, but I’ll be ordering...

The breakfast menu is ALOT of Ala carte, so your costs may add up fast, which makes this venue PRICY $$!!! Does NOT offer non-pork or kosher options in substitute of bacon &/or sausage, so some of the better value options are not feasible for kosher eaters. The hostess/waitress was irritated by our indecisiveness, said she'd return shortly, did NOT return, I made several attempts to get her to come & take our order, but she handed us off another waitress. That was the best thing she did for us -as she was rude to us & other staff. Our new waitress was courteous, pleasant, and considerate. She explained that they were short-staffed, yet her demeanor was exceptional & her service was astounding!!! I give our 2nd waitress -recently hired as of 2 weeks- 5 stars!

Well, I loved it. It is a really friendly place, our waitress appeared a little forgetful and she mad it up with a wicked sense of humor. Apparently, I was the first one to try this pizza version of the new section of the menu. I would hate to take a photo of the breakfast menu, as it is one of the longest I have seen. It's very good and I enjoyed watching the local to greet each other and chat happily. One pity for me, it rained the previous day and I can't eat on the balcony with the river running below. That would be lovely for mornings and sunset.

Breakfast menu has the most entrees I have ever seen. Believe there were 5 pages of food listed. Right now they are short staffed, expect a wait to be seated. Our platters were worth the wait. Friendly atmosphere, very clean. They do a special item / price like BBQ chicken, ribs, etc..once a month. Ordered Belgium waffle/ strawberries/ bananas. Waffle batter was the best I've eaten. Prices were very reasonable, your served a full plate. Husband loved the sausage links, onions on home fries delicious!
