Carmelos Roman Delight Restaurant — Restaurant in West Brunswick Township

Where do I begin? This place is amazing. Heather and Mike went above and beyond to make my daughter's shower memorable. They both responded to my emails quickly and accommodated every request I asked for. The prices were reasonable and the food was delicious.  Every one of my guests raved about how good the food was, and how attentive all of the servers were. Heather and the girls were on top of everything with a constant smile and were so polite throughout the entire party.  We never had to wait for anything. Mike kept checking in throughout the party as well making sure everything was good. And at one point the chef came out to make sure I got what I wanted. It's rare to find a restaurant where not only the food is amazing but the staff are all nice and attentive. The staff at Carmelos is the best!!! They go out of their way to make sure everyone is happy. The grilled chicken with veggie primavera was so fresh and had the perfect amount of garlic, the veggies were amazing! The skinny square pizzas were incredible, the cheessteaks were delicious, the baked rigatoni was wonderful and the meatballs are the closest I've found to my Grandmother's recipe,  that's how I know it's made fresh and with care at this restaurant! Thank you Heather, Mike, the chef who came out and all of the servers who hustled, made every one of my guests feel welcomed and taken care of, you guys are amazing! Our family frequents this restaurant and has held large gatherings here. I always like the food at Carmelo’s Roman Delight Restaurant. On Thursday, June 12 I enjoyed the Asian Salad with chicken. Live music at this restaurant is always a bonus. The musicians on Thursday night were very talented and fun! It is very unfortunate for Carmelo that I must rate my last visit on cleanliness! The restrooms are usually lacking in cleanliness. But on 6/12 the ladies room was absolutely disgusting. Someone had a very bad episode that extended from the toilet and across the floor. There was a lot of flies too. Even after I notified the staff it was not cleaned up. At the end of the night I opted to use the ladies room at the front of the restaurant near the bar. There was something unidentifiable on the floor in the corner by the sink and the hand soap was empty. How is the staff and patrons able to wash their hands without soap? My husband commented that the men’s room was very dirty as well. Cleanliness in a restaurant is a genuine concern! I sure do hope that this review is taken seriously and results in...

This is the first time I visited this establishment. We had a party of 3 and we were all excited to have a nice dinner together. We were seated right away and our server was very nice. Our server and the calamari were the only real highlights. The quality of the food does not reflect the prices that are charged for the food. My wife's drink was good, but mine was pretty bad. It was not made correctly but you can tell the bartender gave it their best effort. We all ordered pasta but the best we could do was get less than half of it down. The sauces for the pasta were just bad, it tasted like it was made from a can. We will try this place one more time but I'm not optimistic about the outcome. Our server was great and she got a very nice tip, it's not her fault that the kitchen missed the mark. I'm actually suprised the food was that bad, my wife said 6 years ago when she ate there it was amazing. Im not sure what changed in those 6 years, but they need to change it back. Also in the future if your going to charge that much a plate you need to make your own dressing for the salads and not generic...
