(scroll down for one year update)
ORIGINAL REVIEW: This used to be my favorite pizza place, with the best buffalo chicken pie I've ever had. The sauce was unlike any other. Unfortunately this, and their pizza as a whole, has gone way down hill gradually over the years. The last pizza I got was the final straw. The last few times I ordered, the pizza recently has come undercooked in the center, almost raw, and I would have to specify "well done" to get it cooked thoroughly. My last pie also tasted completely different than normal and was so greasy I could lube my truck with it. The chicken now tastes boiled or reheated instead of fresh grilled. And the other apps have degraded in quality as well. Overall very disappointed with the quality of food for the price coming out of this place recently, and my friends who order regularly can agree. I hope something changes soon.
ONE YEAR UPDATE: Well I’m back, one year later, lots have changed right? Well, no not really. I ordered another Buffalo chicken pizza one year later from my last review as seen from above.
As you can see in the pictures the pizza is not nearly as greasy as it was before. Major improvement here. However, the pizza itself could maybe use another minute or two in the oven as you can see it’s not really “browned”. NBD there. Purely just an observation.
The two big issues with this pizza is the Buffalo, and the chicken. First, where’s the Buffalo? This pizza is pretty much just blue cheese (at least it tastes like it) and chicken. Not anywhere near tasting like it did a few years ago. Maybe I got a bad one? Idk, if that’s the case then you have a serious consistency issue.
And secondly , and by far the biggest ongoing issue here, is the chicken is STILL reheated chicken. It has been for years now. Why, why, WHY use reheated chicken. As stated before, this pizza was in its prime a few years ago, fresh grilled chicken. Awesome sauce, great flavor. Now, ehh not really. Just go back to fresh chicken and how it was made 2-ish, 3 years ago and you’ll just have a better product.
This pizza is like your ex you keep coming back to. Your relationship was golden when you first started dating, and then they change. You break up, but you keep coming back hoping things go back to how they were, but they just don’t. And you’re left disappointed. Time...
Read moreI was here 12/23 to dine in and purchase gift cards. Let me just start by saying our waitress was wonderful. Very sweet and attentive. I usually order the Caprese Salad with Grilled Chicken but unfortunately it has been taken off the menu. I don't think it's seasonal because I always come here for a January bday and I've always ordered it. I decided to try the Shrimp Scampi. Wasn't a fan. 5 shrimp on top of spaghetti drowning in lemon juice. I didn't even taste garlic. My main issue was when it came time to purchase the gift cards. I walked up to the counter and there were 3 people standing there. One I am assuming was a manager because she was asking the girl if she was closing and if she would mind staying. The young guy that was standing there asked the woman if he could clean out the tip jar. She said yes. Not once through any of these conversations was I even acknowledged. He began cleaning his tip jar at the counter in front of me. The woman continued talking to the girl. None of the 3 even made eye contact with me. Another couple came in and stood next to me and began to start ordering. I said "I'm sorry, I've been waiting" and the young guy said " yeah I saw you waiting there first" still counting his tips. The woman who I'm assuming was a manager finally waited on me. I'd swear I was invisible. A simple "I'll be right with you" or some acknowledgement...
Read moreMy family and I had an okay dinner tonight at your West Deptford location. We were there from 8:30 to 9:30, and between that time and us and one other table, the food was good as always, but the service was nonexistent, and this is not the first time. We were waited on by Kelsey tonight, and we felt completely ignored. I had to go around the corner into the little nook by the service station and ask for silverware and ketchup, and she walked past us many times, looked, and kept walking to the one other table there. When we finally caught her attention, we managed to get refills and boxes, but we just felt completely ignored. She checked on us once and the other table four or five times. It stinks because we love this place, but the service always feels nonexistent. We came last year for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and even once near Christmas time, but every time we always felt the servers were ignoring us. Valentine's Day last year was the worst, as the dark-haired waitress insisted we take pictures and talk with family, and every time we came, the waitresses were either talking to each other or on their phones. I always come back, hoping things will be different, but they aren't. I guess the joke is on me because we come back for the food, good prices, and ambience at this location. It's generally a nice place to eat, but the service is...
