We went as a group of 3 on Saturday night, our first time ever here. I've worked in the food industry and a server for many years, and am tolerant and understanding as I know how things can happen, but we were very disappointed in our service. The atmosphere was neat, it was packed and most of the TVs were playing the Iowa State game, which is what we came there for. However, it was super loud. We had to yell to one another in order to hear each other. The garage doors were open, which would've been nice had it been cooler but it was still upper 80s so it just felt sticky and hot. It seemed there was only two servers and one bartender. The second one got off work and then was drinking at the bar. Again, being busy, we knew it'd take awhile. Waited about 10 minutes before our server came over. She was very quick and didn't introduce herself, or make small talk. (Check says her name is Ashlie.) She asked what we wanted for drinks. I asked what the Bevy's sour was on draft and she said they don't have a sour on tap (despite the menu showing that as an option.) My second choice was then going to be Angry Orchard, but that wasn't listed on the menu, just Strongbow Hard Cider which I don't care for. So I told her since no Angry Orchard, I'd do water. She then informed me they do have Angry Orchard, but it wasn't listed on the menu. She didn't write down anything for our orders, which is a pet peeve of mine, despite how good a server may think they are - should always write it down. My partner ordered a Whiskey-7, and it came back a Whiskey Sour. Also, didn't seem efficient with her bringing one drink out at a time. We did ask about this banner in the picture, showing that during Iowa and Iowa State games, 25oz mugs are for $5. We asked if that was for domestic or anything on draft. Ashlie's response was that, those are for games on Sunday. Informed her Iowa and Iowa State or any college games don't play on Sunday. So she then said she didn't think they were doing the special. We asked if she could check. She brought the bartender over and pointed up at the sign and the bartender (didn't catch her name), rolled her eyes and said they weren't doing any drink specials. Then why do you have this sign advertising it?! Take it down, as that's false advertising! But seems to be the theme here with the misinformation on the menu as well. That, or just the staff isn't knowledgeable. She did ask about us wanting refills, but would run away quickly after one person would say yes and then had to inform her that the others would like a refill as well. Got our appetizer seconds before our meal came out, again one thing at a time. Not sure if there aren’t trays to bring things out or not, but it’d save a lot of back and forth for the servers. Food wasn’t anything to write home about. Parmesan fries weren't anything exciting, just seasoned fries. My club sandwich was missing it's mayo. The steak bites were overcooked. We were practically done when Ashlie came by to check how everything was, again very quick and not really talkative to us though we’d seen her talk with her other tables, so it just made it feel like it was something against us. And of course, on the check here, you can see we were charged the full price for these drinks despite that banner advertising $5 mugs during the game. Overall, was not a great experience. We concluded that we don’t see any reason to go back. Too loud, too slow, staff isn’t friendly, and the false advertising of banners and items on and not on the menu.

Brunch is from 9-2. So good. There’s a bloody/mimosa bar, $17 for bottomless plus $1 for each refill. I had the breakfast bagel which came with potatoes. And we also had the avocado toast and added everything bagel seasoning and it was very good. Bloody Mary also was mixed perfectly. Lots of TV’s for sports watching, plenty of seating and garage doors for when patio season arrives.

If I could could less than one star I would. I have two flys in my drink and asked to talk to the manger which I was told he is too busy. Although he is drinking at the bar. Just want an apology. Typically how a business is run.

Best chicken tenders in town if you happen to order when the right person is cooking, Have been there and ordered door dash several times. Most of the time they’re good, the other times it’s tolerable, but that’s the least of the issues. At the time we went into the restaurant there were 5 people at the bar (regulars as they were on first name basis with bartender) we were the only table and had a seperate server from the bartender who was attentive, not overly friendly but attentive. It was very loud with the TV’s and music and there really wasn’t anyone there, it was very hard to hear and it was really warm inside. It was very hot out that day, but was looking forward to a cooler place to eat. Beer was ice cold in an ice cold glass!!

If you order on the website they don’t make your order until you arrive and pay for that order (no where on the website does it tell you that, so you have no way of knowing) results in wasted time. Bartenders are more interested in gossiping with others or the regulars at the bar. They act like you’re an inconvenience for placing a to go order (which since being in the service industry for years I tip better for my to go food then most do for a drink). If you place an order through door dash, there is no where for you to request extra sauce or any request at all, so then you try to call the restaurant and they answer the phone and say “Thanks for calling Bevy’s our phones aren’t working and we can’t hear you so please use our website to place an order”. Wouldn’t be an issue except the phones have been “not working” for over a month?? Really need to change management and get these issues dealt with and you might have a chance of making it a...

Was there during brunch hours on a Saturday.

One in our party ordered orange juice. It came in a rocks glass with ice and was not what someone expects for breakfast orange juice - it was the swill that's used for mixed drinks.

Onion rings were really good with a healthy portion of ranch for dipping 😋

Breakfast burrito was just ok. The burrito itself and fried potatoes were bland - the cheese dip that came with it helped some.

Fish and chips were just ok. The coleslaw that came with them was not good; I couldn't pinpoint what I was tasting that was off, but as someone who isn't terribly picky about anything with cabbage I was only able to stomach a few small bites.

For the price, and the size of the filets, I would expect three filets vs the two I received. Either way, the fish was average - nothing to write home about, but not necessary bad. I won't order it again.

Service was mediocre. We weren't checked on until we were almost done eating, and she was slow to offer refills on water and coffee.

I'll go back, but will order...
