Packers Roost — Restaurant in West Glacier

TOTAL DIVE! What ever you do, do not stop here. The most ignorant backwards trash my family and I have ever crossed paths with. Called the place from the parking lot, the guy says the kitchen serves a full menu until midnight, but they have run out of prime rib for the night. So my family and I go in and sit down at about 9:10 pm. The place is not super busy, maybe half. The kitchen is putting out food, and a waitress comes over to the table next to ours with about six people sitting at it and takes their orders and leaves. We sat there for awhile and finally just pulled up the menu online to decide what we would order. There were two other groups of people that came in shortly after us and one group finally got up and left after not being greeted. Then a little while later the other group left after not being greeted. So after about twenty five thirty minutes I got up and went to the waitress, standing at the bar, to ask for menus. This ,well I'll be nice here, the person almost screeched at me that they are not serving any food. It's like 9:40 and they are not overly busy, but I guess whatever. So how come you didn't come over and tell us this when we came in and sat down at a table? Or even bother to see if we would like drinks? Instead of just ignoring us, and then screeching at me. Anyway, sorry for ranting. The thing is this place is trashy. And run by crackheads. There were even people bringing their dogs off leash through the dining area to let them run in the separate smoking room area. The chairs are about the most uncomfortable I believe I was ever in. The table was filthy and the place stinks. My family and I will never return and I hope you...

We stopped here to eat after a long day at Glacier. We had the kids with us and at first glance this place looked a little rough but one of the locals recommended the burgers and it was the only place open, so we stopped. Much to our surprise the crowd inside was a split between other families like ourselves and locals drinking at the bar. Food service is slow. It took us 10+minutes to even get menus but once we did, the woman waiting on us got our orders, everything was correct when it arrived, and the food was delicious. It wasn’t expensive, which was a plus. We didn’t get any drink refills and had to approach the bar to get one but it was also after 9pm and the waitresses were mainly tending to bar guests at that point. If you’re fine waiting a bit to order/having slower service, then this is a great stop for a burger! When you’re done, ask the bartender for a marker and draw on a dollar bill to staple it to...

Stopped in for lunch and was pretty disappointed. Took a very long time to get served and the waitress mentioned that she was feeling overrun. We were very kind and said no worries and she was the only person working so I'm sure it was a hard day! We did see her eating behind the bar and then serving drinks and not washing her hands inbetween which gave us the ick. The vibe is interesting because there are gambling slots around the tables and then a door that opens constantly to a smoking area. Those weren't to our taste, but were fine. Our main issue was when we got the bill it was incorrect. We had ordered a half order of the nachos (which were fine!). When we tried to talk to her about the bill she said "well, you pointed to the full order." ...Pretty absurd when they are literally on the same line...and she refused to change her mind.
