Marrone Delicatessen — Restaurant in West Grove

This place is a disgrace, from someone who worked there and was beyond betrayed by the manager I know for a fact, unless it’s something they deep frie or order from somewhere else I wouldn’t eat there unless u like crock pot cheese stakes salads in the fridge gets the dates changed on them until there gone instead of bad ... and being talked about as soon as u leave I watch both the owner and manager either have sexual inappropriate comments or nasty things to say about every last customer I could keep going on and on about this place but it’s only making me look petty but...

I had moved from the area in 1981, and this weekend my son and I went back to visit, I was blown away to see they were still going 40 years later!! So of course we had to have lunch there!!! Let me assure you it was and always will be the best place for a cheese steak sub, jammed pack sub that’s worth every penny, I can only wish that one day they will come into Maryland!! For now I will make the trip up for the best sub you can find!! To all the locals,,,,, your very lucky to have such a great sub shop in your back yards!!! The place is surprisingly very clean. However thats where the good things I have to say stop. Where do i start? The gross, sweet, pizza sauce that tastes like expired jar sauce? The crust that has absolutely no flavor whatsoever? The calzone filling that was a mushy, tasteless, mess of slop? The raw calzone crust that was so devoid of taste that it would make any actual Italian cry? Or the pompas, unprofessional owner, who has absolutely no place in a kitchen? Take my advice. Do yourself a favor and do NOT eat at this restaurant. Save your money and...
