New Grounds Coffee House - West Jefferson — Restaurant in West Jefferson

I really enjoy this place overall. The main thing I dont like though is I dont think their iced lattes are made fresh. It seems they use a concentrate that is pre made, the up side to that is your iced latte is made very quickly but doesn't taste as fresh. When I have coffee at other places that make an iced latte fresh with fresh espresso, it taste much much better than a latte with pre made espresso. I personally prefer a fresh ground espresso in my coffee drinks, so if it came down to it I would choose a coffee place that makes it fresh vs. Using a concentrate. This place is great for if you live close by/are in the area, and want a quickly made coffee as this can be a convenient place. Clean, pleasant, & peaceful environment to relax as well. I adore how they don't blast music like a lot of other coffee shops. There is places to sit and a few tables. They always keep the AC on very nice when its hot out, and that always feels amazing too. This small town coffee shop has a warm inviting feeling to it. They serve specialty and regular donuts every day. The donuts sell out quickly. There are always different drink combinations to choose from. the owner and staff are very friendly. During the summer they have varieties of ice cream to choose from. They play a good selection of music in a fun atmosphere. If your choice of drink is not on the wide variety they make, then they are open to suggestions on how to prepare it. They do offer free wifi. There is seating for dining in. They do have juice, pop, and energy drinks. They have a drop-off location for food pantry donations. There is parking in front of the building and out back. You will be pleasantly surprised by the small town feel you get from visiting this coffee shop. It is super friendly and a fun casual place...

Some training/ re-training needed here. I ordered a bagel and then the girl also took the order for the person behind me, then another. Then a crowd of 6 came in and she took every one of them before even putting my bagel in the toaster. I did not get my bagel even started until everyone in line BEHIND ME had gotten service. The other girl was making drinks and the cashier had already told her she would handle the bagel, but then took approx 8 people before me. That is not the way you handle lines and customer service. A big smile and " sorry for the delay" is not okay when you intentionally caused the delay.
