I was hoping to give this place a third shot and end with a 3 or 4 star rating but today's experience told me all I need to know. The first time I went the food was good enough. Portions were big and the service was good. We decided to come again today and everything was okay at best, and thoroughly disappointing at worst. My dad's pork barbacoa was one of the "okay" ones. It was edible but not really enjoyable. My husband's chile verde burrito was not good at all. And my shredded steak burrito was made very differently from the first time, in a way that made it inedible for me (too spicy, way too much bell pepper, didn't have beans and rice on the side like the first one I got did which I had used to balance out the burrito). We also had to wait significantly longer for the food (we spent about 20 minutes waiting for our food). Now if it were just that I'd be disappointed but willing to try again.
What convinced me to go 1 star was the way they handled my request for a refund. I called immediately and just asked to refund my burrito since it was the only one that couldn't actually be consumed. The manager came across as unwilling to refund my order but did say she'd do it if I brought in my receipt and the burrito. This frustrated me because I had taken an extended lunch to make sure I'd have sufficient time to eat my food but their long wait ate away at that time so I had no time left to even get something else to eat (which had I had time I would have asked them to remake it instead), let alone take my burrito back to get a refund. They insisted there was no other way because they needed to do a cash refund (mind you I paid with my card) so I told them I'd try to stop by later.
I was able to find time so I bring in the burrito and a different woman is manning the register. No smile, just a "What can I get you?" I advised her I was told to bring in the burrito for a refund and in a very defensive and combative tone she asked "Why? What's wrong with it?" So I explained it was made differently from the first time I ordered it and the changes made it inedible. She was clearly irritated at me but asked to see the receipt which I easily pulled up. Again she seemed irritated andquickly opened the drawer, gave me $8 and change, then said "You can take the burrito, we don't want it either". I told her the amount was too little because I paid extra for the rice and beans and she spouted "I can see the price right there. It's $8." I pointed out the part where it shows the extra charges and she rolled her eyes, opened the drawer and fished around in her tip jar, then handed me about 50 more cents. At this point I pulled out my phone to do the math myself and she turned away to ignore me and focus on the drive through. With tax the total was $10.14 so while the difference was only a dollar and change, this was still frustrating and a very wrong way to handle the situation. So I spoke up and said "this isn't the right amount either. It's supposed to be $10.14". I kid you not, she loudly and angrily sighed, muttered oh my god, then marched back to the drawer and said "I'm going to check it myself" which is fine with me. Sure enough, I was right. She aggressively grabbed back the money, adjusted the amount, shoved it back at me with another angry look, then once more ignored me and jumped on the drive through.
Pretty clear why I won't be going back here. Very disappointing because my mom hasn't minded this location and the food the first time was enjoyable enough to try again. I don't understand why it was such a horrible inconvenience to check the correct total and give me back my money for one burrito when I could have asked for a refund on the whole order. Hopefully management will talk to her about her attitude problem and she can do better in the future, and I also hope they can push the cooks to be...
Read moreWill not be returning to this location. Saturday evening, around 5:00 o'clock, we placed an online order. We arrived at the pick-up window at the time we were told, no one was at the window or in the kitchen. Drove around the building, looking in the windows, and no one was in the building that we could see. We stopped at the order sign hoping some alert would go off inside. Finally someone answered and advised us to pull forward. She had an order slip in her hand and asked if it was our order. It was. She asked us to pull around and wait in the dining room while they made our order. Since we had already paid for the food online, we decided to wait. After waiting a long time, they finally gave us our order. My father asked them if they ever check the online reviews for their business. The woman stated that their machine was broken and that's why they didn't get our order. This explanation didn't make sense given that the woman at the window had our order. When we got the food home and checked it, they had messed up two out of the four dishes. Our rolled tacos, which were missing the cheese, sour cream, tomatoes (as described on their menu), were sitting on a bed of lettuce in a half inch of water. I used to love this place but clearly they don't care about their product or customers anymore. This is actually the 2nd time we have had problems with this location. We gave them the benefit of the doubt the 1st time we had issues but it seems as though this is...
Read morei pull up to the drive thru and no one says anything for a solid minute, which is fine because my boyfriend and i are still looking at the menu. the lady finally says “order when you’re ready” and i respond “just one moment please” about 10 seconds later i say our order. no response. i give it a few seconds. nothing. i say “hello?” about 5 times. nothing. finally my boyfriend asked “excuse me? hello?” and the lady very LOUDLY says “WHAT?! ARE YOU READY NOW?!” i say, “uh, yeah i already ordered” she says, “I DIDNT GET YOUR ORDER” so i repeat my order, try to tell her what kind of sauce we wanted, and she cuts me off and says “NO. YOU TELL ME YOUR SAUCE UP HERE. THANK YOU. BYE!” not sure why she was so angry or why she had her son/grandson up on the literal front counter coloring, but we think she took off her headset to go play with her grandkid and got mad that she had to come back and actually do her job. we just drove away. very weird...
