Hokulia Shave Ice - West Jordan — Restaurant in West Jordan

Well…I hope that the the owners see this. I’m giving this 3 stars because I have only tried this place twice and so far 1 was good and 1 was bad. So, yesterday I took some of my family here (first time trying this one) and the experience was very friendly and we had a great time. Tonight however was a totally different story…It goes like this. I was going to be awesome and take some out of town friends to an awesome shaved ice place. We were all excited until 10 min after the girl rudely told me that she was busy and we would have to wait, about 5 minutes after that the other girl (which heard her and sat there watching me) looked out the window and told me that I would need to come back another day because they were too busy and closed. No apology or anything, just said it and then...

Came 20 minutes before they close after waiting 5 minutes to order and 15 minutes until close, she tells me they are closed but has no posted time to close on a holiday and had just taken the order of the person in front of me. I ask why and she said the 4th but just had taken someone’s order. I waited 5 more minutes in my car and the girl took the order of the people behind me at the side door. She could have told me they were closed so i didn’t have to wait for no reason. Lying about time and taking your friends over shouldn’t be something allowed at this place. Honestly just because of that i wouldn’t tell anyone to go there or...

Last night was my first time here at this spot. New Owners!! I think they deserve more than the 3 stars they are getting. My family enjoyed it. We jammed to the music((which was off the charts)) and had quality time as a family. Im not much for shaved ice anything but this was flavorful and refreshing. Now, im going to be going bck for more while summer sun is still out n abt. The staff was friendly. Owner came over and said hello n made us feel welcomed. Give them a chance and try it out!
