This was our first time trying Pie in Sky upon google reviews. I was skeptical and concerned since a number of the reviews on other platforms said that the food was not cooked fully and items were soggy. However, my boyfriend kept saying “it’s likely a spoof, one time thing. When I order, I’ll let them know to cook our pizza a little longer just in case.”
We just picked up both pizzas, wings, and fries and I’m appalled by what we got. Our pizzas are not done and ,by not done, I mean there is soft dough in the middle that is not cooked at all!
My boyfriend, who is a foodie and way more forgiving than I am, even went and said “I can’t eat this either. Let’s see if we can cook them further in the oven.”
Currently, we are cooking both pizzas in the oven. If I wanted to cook my own food, I would have cooked at home.
The fries are in the air fryer as they were also not cooked, not seasoned, and tasted like frozen cardboard.
The wings we are debating throwing out as they are still pink/raw in the middle.
I understand that sometimes things are a little “under done” but this is bad on all levels where nothing was cooked even remotely close to being done.
I’m only eating 3 stars for atmosphere and service since my boyfriend relayed everyone was nice and it seemed like a fairly good establishment.
I wish I could say we will try them again but this was incredibly disappointing on all fronts with the food that there is nothing redeeming to...
Read moreAfter finding out Pie in the Sky offered thick square Sicilian pizza I figured I'd pick one up for NFL Sunday. Unfortunately the person answering the phone misheard me and I had a traditional round pie waiting when I got there. I politely explained this to the manager, he threw a square Sicilian in the oven right away. No biggie I thought, I've worked in busy pizza joints in the past, these things happen. Much to my surprise he threw in the traditional round pie for free, even after I offered to pay for it. A+ service, this place went above and beyond fixing an honest mistake.
So how was the pizza? I now had a sampler of round traditional cheese, square Sicilian cheese and an order of garlic knots to dig into. It's excellent, the sauce has a nice flavor and the mozzarella tastes freshly grated and there's a healthy amount of seasoning on top as well. The crust of the Sicilian is perfect, substantial but not too thick as to be overly filling. The round pie had a nice greasy flavor, almost boardwalk style. The garlic knots have a flawless fluffy texture and just the right amount of garlic.
So if you're in the eastern Lancaster or Lampeter area definitely give Pie in the Sky a call, especially if you want a Sicilian style pizza, far as I know they're the only place in the area with it. Great service and...
Read moreMy first time trying Pie In The Sky was a major disappointment. With such high reviews, I was expecting top-tier pizza, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. The crust tasted like cardboard, which was a significant letdown. The sauce was bland, and although there was a decent amount of cheese, it didn't look appealing when I opened the box. Some slices didn't hold the cheese well either.
In comparison to other pizza places I've tried in PA, Pie In The Sky ranks in the bottom tier. It wasn't the worst pizza I've ever had, but it was underwhelming. I'm not sure if their other menu items are any good, but the cheese pizza was off-putting enough that I wouldn't try it again.
Interestingly, my wife shared my opinion. Before I gave her my thoughts, I asked her what she thought, and she said, "I can't eat this, the crust tastes like cardboard." It's clear we both were equally disappointed.
Overall, I'd give Pie In The Sky...
