Surprisingly good pizza! The location looks dated (they’ve been open since 1978, and it shows), but the owner, Mundo, struck up a conversation with us while we were waiting for our pizza to finish cooking (we were early). When we got home, the pizzas were still hot. The sauce is the real treat here. It’s sweet but not too much so, and it has a definite baked flavor like it’s been slow-cooked on the stove for a while. I love that slightly burnt taste, and it really makes for a pleasantly sweet, smokiness to the sauce. There were plenty of toppings, but I’m a cheese man and could have had more on my pies. Read moreThis is by far, the best pizza and the best calzone I’ve ever tasted. The cheese to sauce ratio was impeccable. The crust was a perfect bit of crunchy around the crust. There was NOT a single bite of pizza that was soggy - and given the moisture of the cheese and sauce the pizza had, I was floored by how perfectly cooked it was.
