Vesuvio's Pizza — Restaurant in West Milford

Just ordered tonight for the first and last time!! Seen good reviews and have heard good things about it, now I'm questioning whom I associate with and wether or not I will ever trust a review. My entire family is mad at me for ordering our dinner from here. It was a pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms and 2 plain slices. Not a soul is satisfied or have anything nice to say about it. Total failure on this one.

Round 2!!! Tonight 8/10/18 we tried this place for second time to be fair. The pictures are from tonight’s dinner. First we have the paper bag that I was given for my take out meal. Yes, you are seeing right it looks like it’s been recycled a few times. Now I’m all for recycling and doing my part for the planet, but as you can see in the later picture the bag contained semolina!! It’s the bag from their bread delivery, and I doubt that it was a “new” bag then. So appearance and presentation are gone already on this one. Then you see my daughters slice of pepperoni pizza. Clearly you see that it’s a plain slice with some sliced pepperoni tossed on top, but looking further you can see the plain slice itself was old and dry looking. And now for my personal favorite, my chicken Parmesan dinner!! I am 43 years old and I have never seen this before; pre-cut chicken in my dinner??? Now in hindsight I am a slow eater, so having someone cut my meal for me is time saving; I just wish someone had to eat it for me as well...😱😱!! So since this is not a baseball game, I’m doing 2 strikes and I’m Out!! A review I read on this restaurant through another platform said their advice is go somewhere else, I second the motion. No thanks, looking forward to Frank’s Pizza opening back up!! I know I’ll NEVER GET THEIR BREAD DELIVERY BAG WITH MY...

This is proof right here that someone finally knows how to cook up here in West Milford. Ownership and associates please continue to serve this community because you’re a gem in the beautiful town. Make sure to order their Seafood Pescatore it’s the best pasta dish I ever had hands down. Pizza too has the perfect crust and well seasoned sauce.

Have to update this review. You guys "were" the only pizzeria in the area that was consistent with taste, quality and service. Until today. First off if your going to change your menus then you need to update all platforms of social media including your brochure menu that you have inside your pizzeria. Tell me how on your menu currently it states personal pan pizza? Yet I call to place an order and you tell me you don't make that? Your a pizzeria how hard is it to 1/4 a pizza dough ball to accommodate a customer? It sounds so simple yet the answer was no. Now I can go to shoprite and buy a ball of dough and do it myself but that's why I'm paying for service for someone else to do it for me. Smh ashamed and disappointed. Too bad were going to have to go back on a search for good pie around the West...

Each week, we venture out and try our favorite pizzas - the Margarita, the Grandpa and the Grandma. Although Vesuvio's in West Milford did not have these on their menu, we decided to give them a try, anyway. We ordered a large regular pie a large pepperoni pie.

Upon opening the box, the pie wasn't over or undercooked - cooked perfectly. Upon the first bite.. here's what we loved: the crust. Perfect. Crispy but not crunchy with a soft center. The mozzarella was cooked over the sauce evenly. Of course, we have been trying so many margarita style pies that we almost forgot what a regular old fashioned pie tasted like. Vesuvio's did a fantastic job in reminding us. We were hoping for a bit more flavor in their sauce but still a worthy pie to try. The pepperoni pie was the same; very greasy from the pepperoni, of course, but it still maintained the crispy crust.

Vesuvio's.. I think its time for you to put a Margarita pie on that menu! Fresh mozz, fresh basil, sweet sauce, and your crust will be a perfect match.
