Went in to buy a few different things to try with my family, we were throughly disapointed. The Quiche was burnt and ice cold on the inside at the same time (how does that happen??) This is also the second time I have gotten Quiche here and it was ice cold in the middle. It had this wild smell to it (not in a good way) and it was mushy. The Muffin had a weird aftertaste that would not leave my mouth, avocado toast tasted nothing like avocado and was very bland, kind of like the avocado sat in the freezer for a few months until it lost any of the goodness it had left in it, the only thing that saved it was the bread it was on, mind you it was almost $15 for one piece of toast, and the cookie we had was way to salty(want some cookie with your salt). Everything is also way way to expensive for the portions you get, I got a cup of 8oz of soup for $10. I feel like the only thing saving this buisness is the atmosphere and that it is what makes up for the lack of good food. On top of all of this i had bad experience with an employee giving me sass about wanting a speciality latte made as a flat white because I wanted less milk in my coffee. There is a lot more I could say, but overall my experience sucked and I will...

Life’s Patina Mercantile and Cafe is a Beautiful Cafe located in the Quaint Village of Historic Yellow Springs. It’s like traveling back in time to the magic and ambiance of a simpler time. The moment you walk in the door, every one of your senses is delighted with beauty and scents and feelings of serenity and contentment. The coffee is delightful, the sweets and food fare are delectable and the atmosphere is amazingly inviting , warm and welcoming. Top of the line in every way!! The mercantile to choose from either for yourself or a gift is beyond gorgeous and beautiful quality. Nothing has been spared. All the products are chosen with the utmost of consciousness to provide local and made in the USA goods. And last but not least the team serving you are friendly, kind, and accommodating! Everyone is awesome! Brianna, thank you for making me feel at home and welcomed! I absolutely love it here!! It’s a one of a kind must visit artisan cafe and mercantile!! It has become a regular favorite at the top of my...

The most incredible gem awaits. The food is top. Quality service was excellent and friendly plenty of seating in a beautifully decorated rustic setting! Great for business meetings, coffee, or lunch with friends or just on your own as I did today to do some business! Cannot wait to return. I hope it’s here forever! Even the drive there was quaint and beautiful.

The merchant part and the store is absolutely adorable and so many wonderful goodies and high-quality items!!

Second visit was equally lovely planned for about an hour for lunch and take your time Friday. Fridays are typically a busy day for them, but it’s worth it. Everything is delicious. I had the ham griller today and the lemon cake. It...

Walking into this place is like slipping into a dreamy European vacation. The food and drink are close your eyes good. The effort love and attention to every detail that went into springing life back into this historic building washes over you and your senses. No component was left executed without extreme intentionality. Dining and shopping here is a luxurious gift life’s patina has brought to us. I’ve been 3 times already and am counting down the days till I can Return. Magnificent is an understatement.
