I simply used the maps app to locate a place nearby that particular DQ and therefore I gave a two (2) â rating. However I do like to get some type of DQ Blizzard a couple of times each summer and most frequently early in the season and again in August. The ice cream cake is good for all parties involved at most celebratory events with such a situation and it's a bit misleading as the cones are ice milk and in a rather smaller size cone than the price warrants. I'm doubtful that the majority shareholder, Berkshire Hathaway, ie Warren Buffett, has much to do with the daily operations or has the industry knowledge and experience to micromanage the long term business enterprise as that particular company most frequently invests in ongoing successful businesses that have already been able to use their sector expertise in providing a quality product for the market that consumers are desiring for an equitable price of service and affords the shareholders a decent ROI. I'm certainly not an expert on the financial situation but I have been fortunate enough to enjoy frozen dairy products for over 60 years already and it's my hope to continue with that pattern until I choose otherwise or cannot. DQ is most oftentimes easily accessible and it's well-worth the time and effort to go outside of one's most traveled route to stop by DQ as frequently as required. A higher star review may be expressed by the clientele who frequents DQ more than myself and I am rather fond of DQ but simply don't stop in each time I pass by a store and there are so many various options in the grocery stores that I don't have a particular favorite as I once did. The selection in my nearby grocery stores allow me to choose various types of ice cream from more than a few dairies. Please do not hesitate to enjoy your time of eating yet do consume with care and caution to best avoid the dreaded and uncomfortable 'brain freeze'...
Read moreToday is the last time I am ordering anything from this Dairy Queen. Today I was given someone else's order, ate some french fries before the order taker noticed that she had handed me the wrong sack. She took the bag back and, may have given it to the vehicle behind me, even though I had opened it and eaten part of the fries. My total time in line was between 10 - 15 minutes, with only 1 car ahead of me. That car waited and waited to get its order, also. I was not greeted when I drove up to the menu board and after waiting several minutes, finally yelled, "Hello, anyone there?" They couldn't seem to understand that a $5 deluxe cheeseburger meal could become the same order, without the cheese! And, when I received my strawberry sunday, it was from the freezer - not fresh, but frozen solid! Too bad, because other Dairy Queens are delightful! Poor service, slow service, wrong service.
Oh, and this spring, I received a hamburger on which the meat wasn't even warm. I assume that it had been prefried and then set aside. At that time I said it was the last time but, silly me, I tried again today with equally...
Read moreThe last 2 times we have been at this location we have waited almost a half hour for a very small amount of food. First time was 1 blizzard and pretzels and tonight was 3 mini blizzards, 1 small blizzard and 3 chicken strips. While waiting we watch the "employees" mess around. Then get mad when they are reminded them that we are still waiting on items after watching several other people get their orders when they order after us. Never...
