This is probably one of the best places to eat in the park. They provide a variety of food.

People are complaining about prices. Hello, you're in a national park which is far away from the nearest town. All national park restaurants are going to be more expensive than your usual restaurant where you live. It costs money to ship all food supplies into the parks. Bring your own food or stop complaining.

The main line serves breakfast which we felt was pretty good. For lunch, they have hamburgers, hot dogs, chili, soup, chicken tenders, Buffalo Chicken wrap, among other selections. They do offer vegan sandwiches. At dinner, they offer trout, rotisserie chicken, meatballs, and Beyond Meat Swiss Steak (yuck). We haven't tried dinner there yet, but the chicken and meatballs sound good.

To the far left of the building, there are two gift shops. There is also a coffee cafe and an ice cream parlor. Haven't tried those either, but the coffee smells so good.

Next to the main line is Fresh Woks which is Asian food. Okay, so it's not authentic, but a nice change in food selection. Start with rice or noodles, then you pick your protein. Maybe add a vegetable egg roll. You can even get a side of sauce like Sweet and Sour or Orange sauce. Loved the Orange Chicken. The Korean Barbecue Beef was good, but there were a couple of pieces that were kind of chewy with fat, so I had to spit it out with a napkin. Otherwise it was a good dish. We thought it was good place to eat. Ate there twice.

At the far end to the right is the M66 lounge where you can get alcoholic drinks and they have a different menu. You should check it out. I did a separate...

We stayed at the canyon lodge and was looking for a good dinner option. Unfortunately, the canyon eatery was really the only option open after 7PM. We ended up eating there and chose the Asian options. I got the orange chicken and fried rice. It was terrible. The rice was watery like it had been over cooked a few hours before and had been left sitting out. The orange chicken would have been good but there was only 5 or 6 tiny pieces of chicken and a ton of peppers. The peppers made up 90% of the portion. I definitely would not eat here again for dinner. Even the lady serving the food noticed how bad the rice looked and apologized for it, but served it anyway lol. It was overpriced and terrible quality. Unfortunately, the next morning we were faced again with limited breakfast options so we ended up eating here again. Yet again, we regretted it. It was definitely better than dinner, but the quality you get at a Hampton inn’s free breakfast would have been significantly better. There was a ton of people eating there - we waited around 10 minutes before we got to the counter to be served. Even with the high turnover, the food was cold and the eggs looked and tasted like they had been cooked hours before. It felt like they knew there were no other options closer so they just served and charged what they wanted - there was no quality at all. I will definitely not go back in the future. The Yellowstone lake dining room isn’t too far away - you’ll pay around $10 extra per person for dinner but the food quality is 100x better. The only thing the canyon eatery has going for it is it’s a walkable distance from the...

Canyon Eatery: Exploring Yellowstone National Park takes a lot of energy, and Canyon Eatery at Canyon Lodge was the perfect place to refuel after a long day of adventure.

Variety for All Tastes: Canyon Eatery offers a fantastic selection! From wok stations with customizable rice bowls to homestyle meals at Slow Food Fast, there's something to satisfy everyone's cravings. Plus, the grab-and-go options are lifesavers for mornings on the go.

Fresh Options: I was pleasantly surprised by the focus on fresh ingredients. The veggies at the wok station looked crisp and colorful, and the breakfast menu offered more than just greasy fare.

1950s Diner Vibes: The atmosphere at Canyon Eatery is fun and funky. The 1950s-inspired decor adds a touch of whimsy to the dining experience, making it a great place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring.

Fuel Up for Adventure: The portions at Canyon Eatery are perfect for park adventurers. They left me feeling energized and ready to tackle the next hike or geyser hunt.

Convenience is King: Located right in Canyon Village, Canyon Eatery is incredibly convenient, especially for those staying at Canyon Lodge. It's a great option for a quick and tasty bite before heading out for the day's adventures.

Overall: Canyon Eatery may not be fine dining, but it hits all the right notes for a park lodge restaurant. It's a great place to grab a delicious and satisfying meal in a fun and convenient location. Highly recommend!

I've eaten at many eateries hosted on Xanterra properties in National Parks. Typically I'll get a mediocre to decent experience across price points. I'll tolerate it due generally to proximity of lodgings. As many others have said, Canyon Eatery have a captive audience in those staying in the Canyon Lodge area. I had both a dinner and a breakfast here. Overall I had a bad experience across two visits, and will never be returning. First, all "hot" food items I had ranged from lukewarm to room temperature. For dinner I had the "wok" with fried rice and Korean beef. The rice was caked together, and the peppers to beef ratio was laughable. It was meh, but not terrible. I went back for breakfast the next day and had eggs, biscuits and gravy. The eggs were hard, congealed, and had a gristly texture in some parts. The biscuits were hockey puck hard, and the gravy was some kind of weird soupy consistency. I couldn't finish this meal, and just left. I thought of complaining, but almost every interaction I saw other customers have was one which indicated the ship's captain was AWOL. Low level workers with at best a couple months experience weren't able to satisfy various customer inquiries. Rather than waste my time I'll simply not give them more money, and post an appropriate review, which I am generally loathe to do.
