I traveled up from San Diego on my way to Camarillo and wanted to find a café that checked all the boxes: good coffee, quality food, relaxing vibes, ample seating, and—crucially—easy parking. After some serious Google Maps scrolling, I landed on Bonibi Café & Shop, and let me tell you—it delivered on every single one.

✅ Spacious & Thoughtfully Designed Seating Walking in around 10am on a Thursday, I was immediately impressed by the layout. Indoor and outdoor seating was plentiful, with large tables perfect for setting up a laptop and getting work done. No cramped corners or loud echoey chaos—just a calm, comfortable space to relax or focus.

☕ Coffee: Absolute Quality I ordered a nitro cold brew and knew from the first sip it was going to be good. Bonibi uses coffee beans from Portland—where I used to live—and the taste brought back so much nostalgia. Smooth, bold, and expertly made. If you know good coffee, you’ll taste the difference immediately.

🥐 Strawberry Croissant: One of the Best I’ve Ever Had This deserves its own paragraph. Their strawberry croissant was easily Top 3 of my life. Unlike the overly filled ones that explode the moment you bite in, this was balanced and beautifully crafted. Flavorful, light, and clean—no mess, just perfection.

🙌 Staff & Atmosphere The staff were friendly and clearly skilled. Despite a small line when I walked in, the service was efficient and thoughtful. The overall vibe is chill and welcoming. They also have a retail section in the café that adds a cozy, curated feel—perfect for browsing while you wait or after you eat.

🌿 Surroundings: Bonus Perks Located near a peaceful lake, this place offers more than just great coffee. You can take your drink for a relaxing walk or just unwind outdoors. If I lived nearby, this would hands-down be my daily spot for work, coffee, or just a moment of peace.

Bonibi has the best coffee I’ve ever had in Westlake! They get their coffee delivered fresh from Stumptown Coffee in LA every week. You can taste the high quality coffee from not only the beans, but from the Italian coffee machine they use to make the coffee! The quality blows Starbucks away. Sneakers, coffee & a lakeside view. This might be the best cafe I’ve visited so far. When I walked in, I was surprised it had a lot of running shoes and Fjallraven gear.

I tried their “Overnight Oats” and it had some chia seeds I believe. It was delicious and complimented my Stumptown cold brew coffee with light sweet cream.
