At first I thought this was just a catering business until a friend of mine told me about the bakery on the weekends so being that I live 2 blocks away decided to stop in and test the product. Letâs just say I was not disappointed.
When I walked in I was greeted by 2 very kind and friendly staff members who were eager to not only help me but give me in detail a brief explanation of their product and how itâs made. After tasting the baked goods everything she told me must have been a lie because only magic could make something this amazing.
I ordered creme brûlée cruffins their pop tarts blueberry almond croissants and a pistachio griffin. I was looking to try some of their monte cristo sandwiches and other things but they had a busy morning that day and were running low so I settled for the sweets and I am happy I did. Biting into The cruffins was like tasting music and colors. How can I possibly explain to you that it was literally the best baked good that I ever bit into.
It was like if Jesus and Santa baked you something to eat making sure it was made with all the love and goodness those two individuals could offer. The pop tarts were just as amazing along with the blueberry almost croissant. This is a place you do not want to pass up or miss out on. They only open on Fridays and Saturdays for now but itâs totally worth the wait. Do yourself a favor and stop in and please donât order too many cruffins so I can still get some when I get there.
10/10 would recommend and I donât use that rating...

Wether you have a sweet tooth or your tastebuds like it savory, there is something for everybody. The Broccoli Cheddar Soup Pocket was in a testing phase but should definitely be added to the menu. The texture of the flaky dough was the perfect addition to the classic flavors of a homemade Broccoli Cheddar Soup. Coming from Germany and being married to a Swiss, we had many croissants in our lifetime. Where other pastry chefs fail to get the croissant buttery, flaky and moist while not being chewy Chef Em hit the nail on the head and made a perfect one. And to make it even better you get the fancy croissants that have a filling like Lemon Croissant or Ham and Cheese Croissant. The Spinach Feta Scone and Lemon Earl Gray Scone were also delicious! And because it was National Chocolate Cake Day we couldn't resist the special of the day, Chocolate Cake. It did not survive for long! đ The Nutella TopPart reminded me of my childhood... I tasted a hint of coconut butter and that is what my mom always used for a specail cake she made when I was growing up. Thank you for spoiling my family to some delicious treats and keep up the good work! The Bittersweet Bakehouse is a true treasure and definitely deseves my Google...
Read more3/25/23 I visited Bittersweet Bakehouse today. What a great new business! Chef Emmalee is very talented and had a nice variety of baked goods that she personally made. The baked goods are displayed nicely behind plexiglass. You can feast your eyes before you purchase. Today she was also offering made to order breakfast sandwiches. The croissant roll that it was served in was nicely toasted and the sandwich topping were prepared hot and fresh right in front of you. Be sure to stop in and support this local women owned business. You will receive service with a smile right from the chef that baked the products fresh each morning. You will not be disappointed with what ever you order. The cruffins are a really special treat, along with the top...
