Update: 5-11-25:
We stopped in for Mother's Day at 5:00 pm. Our waitress ( I will get her name, it was not on the receipt I kept and it's worth mentioning ) was very nice. Attentive and thorough !
This has always been a five star review place. But this time. We didn't go our normal and very quickly regretted it. Which made me think about the " norm ".
Ordered the Veal Parm. My mom said it was very tasty. Ordered the shrimp dinner. Was told it was tasty.
Now for Mother's Day, they had a limited menu. My daughter wanted Alfredo with blush sauce. But that was not available today. Unless we wanted a side dish or spaghetti sauce for $ 5.00 ( no ). Alfredo was good she said.
I normally order a large pizza extra sauce. Extra cheese and extra pepperoni which is always excellent. However. I paid attention to the bill and about fell over last time in " extra " charges. A base 16 inch pizza with one topping is $17.00 extra sauce is $ 4.25 and pepperoni and cheese and so on. That large pizza ended up being more with extras then the 1 pound prime rib dinner ( no ).
So, tonight I ordered just a large pizza. All regular with just extra sauce. There was NO extra sauce BUT there was a nice $ 4.25 charge.
The pizza like other reviews has said is just alright. Pizza joints do indeed make a better pizza. Which made me think. My excellant pizzas here are because I am spending damn near $30 for it by making it good doubling all the toppings I want. Which is it really a good pizza at that point. ( no ).
There is validity in the past reviews on the quality of their pizza.
Nickles and dimes piss people off. No way should blush sauce which is normally a $ 2.00 upcharge be $5 because it comes in a side cup. 4.25 for a tablespoon of extra sauce is not worth it. Which without it. Makes the pizza " eh ".
Then you get hit with an additional 3.8% fee for using credit card. And no debit cards are accepted. Seems you all need to renegotiate your rates. My business doesn't pay 3.8%
The nostalgia and memories of Delucas are quickly being erased by nickles and dimes and just mediocre food items. Coleslaw without moisture. Lacking of that great oil vinegar dressing. And so on.
We are gonna put Delucas on the back burner for a while and see what else is out there for our Italian go to's for a while. . . Sorry !

Read moreI ordered 1 of their 2 most popular dishes, their Filet Mignon & I'm still mad at myself for not sending the whole meal back. It was awful. No taste or flavor WHAT SO EVER. In fact, everything was bland! The minestrone soup, no matter how hard I tried to doctor it, bland. The broccoli tasted like water & I couldn't even taste a hint of potato flavor, in my extremely plain mashed potatoes... Oddly, all 3 things came separately on their own individual plates. Almost like it wasn't a meal but It's a $23 meal. Add my 2 Cosmos to that (that im not sure even had alcohol) @ $9/ea.....& my bill was a easily $50!!! Just waisted money 😔 & aIthough no one likes to waste money, I hate to waste anything! So, I brought the leftovers (basically the whole meal) home. I thought for sure someone would be either hungry or broke enough to eat it & then I'd feel a little better about spending that much & not sending it back but nope! It's still in my refrigerator. Now, I will say, my friend ordered their pizza & it smelled delicious! I def wish I would have tried that instead but personally, I don't go to an Italian restaurant just to order pizza but that's just me. As for the restaurant itself, I was pleasantly surprised for the most part. Cute place. It definitely has the Italian vibe, with the exposed red brick inside. Actually, it's too nice of a place to have paper placemats full of random advertising, mucless the one whole, thin paper napkin they give you, which has your silverware inside. Something so small, just cheapens the whole place & although that is just my opinion, You won't find paper products at any other Italian restaurant, unless it's for kids to color on. Overall, I guess it's safe to say, I was surprisingly disappointed. I was familiar with their name, Ik they have plenty of good reviews & I was looking forward to my 1st visit. It just didn't work out. Maybe I just caught them on an off day. I hate to give a bad review. The staff was friendly & I'm sure had I sent my dinner back, I would have found something that tasted good & then this review could have been different but I didn't, so for now, this is my experience. I guess I can say their prices are pretty reasonable. Alcohol aside of course!!!! If I pay $9 for single martini, it better be a hell of a martini, with a lot of alcohol! So, here is my dinner....
Read moreWe had prox 30 people gathering for dinner & were placed in a desperate area then the restaurant. Service was very slow & waitress seemed to be stressed out, didn't fulfil requests for items, even for water, until requested it several times.
The Salad was good, although it had to much lettuce compared to the amount of other toppings (such as olives & onions etc) that were placed on top of the lettuce, not mixed within it. The Chicken Cacciatore didn't have many peppers & onions with it. The chicken that was served 1st was over cooked, dry, didn't have much taste & mainly was wings & legs without the thighs. When we requested more the gave us mainly legs & thighs with a few breast sections.
The Mastaccoli was plain pasta with barely any meat in the sauce, that was placed on top of it. It even had some water on each platter from the pasta not being drained properly. We mixed the pasta with the little sauce that was placed on it & had to request additional sauce which we had to wait a considerable amount of time for.
The bread stnicks looked like pizza dough had been cut into sections, the dough was risen & then baked. However most of them were still white, instead of golden brown like they used to be years ago & they were plain, not brushed with garlic, parmesan, garlic butter topping as they used to be years ago. I was totally amazed at how poor the food & service is now! I wont go there again, unless it is where my visiting family chooses to have our gathering again & I have to go there if I want to be with my visiting...
