I always think of Joe Biden yelling at the reporter "Now listen here, Flapjack!" whenever I drive by, so I decided to stop in. Flapjacks - 10/10 huge, thick, fluffy, badass pancakes. The edges just barely have that crisp finish. These are the best anywhere around these parts. Fried Chicken - 10/10 super crispy, exactly the right amount of salt, juicy interior. Not too much breading. I wouldn't change a thing on these. Waffle - 5/10. Could be a lot better. Smaller than my waffle maker makes them at home. No super crisp shell, so a little limp. Disappointing honestly. See my pics to see what I mean about the size vs 3 chicken wings. Turkey Bacon - 3/10. Kinda leathery, thin and chewy. Had a good smoke flavor, but there are a million places in Dearborn serving much better turkey bacon than this. Ice Tea - 6/10 unsweetened but pretty weak. Service was very attentive. They had some good looking hard pack ice cream too. Good mix of upbeat music, played at the perfect volume. 4% surcharge on cards. Recommended, but maybe stick to the Flapjacks and chicken.

Honestly I'm not really sure what to say but for flap Jacks being the theme I'm not really all to sure about it. Firsts the menus are old and need minor updating. For example I shouldn't have to ask what kind of things that I can add to my flap Jacks. There should be a section that explains it and the pricing. Secondly the music was really loud in here. Not deafening loud but still loud enough to make dread not bringing headphones as it kinda of made it hard for me to concentrate. Thirdly I asked for strawberry to be added to my flap Jacks and well I don't see any strawberries in them nor did I taste any. The guy at the counter was attentive. I feel that in order to fit the theme they should add in specialized /themed flap Jacks. It mostly feel like a restaurant that happens to sell flap Jacks as the place, over all, to me doesn't seem to have a theme. As well as adding in different types of syrup like ihop has/had to help fit the theme.

Best pancakes and waffles I’ve ever had. Very unassuming place on the outside, but the menu and ingredients do the talking and are about to make me a regular. Definitely try the Dirty Fries if you come for lunch. The breading on the chicken is perfectly crispy and well seasoned. I can’t remember the last time I was served chicken tenders at a restaurant that weren’t frozen. What Flapjacks lacks in flash and size is easily made up for in a simple menu with a clear vision, fair prices, great food, and memorable service. We met Noor the owner the night before at his other restaurant, Iceburg in Dearborn, and he sold us on his food and atmosphere there too where we knew we had to try whatever else he was helming. He made lifelong patrons in us in just one visit to each.

I don't know where they got their good reviews from. It must be from family members or friends. When I went there it took 20 minutes to make rice and a Lamb gyro with hardly anyone in the restaurant. Then when I got my food it was cool and I said look my food is cool. I even put the food up in the air so he could see that my food was cool as if he didn't no it. He then asked me to see the food, took the back of his hands and felt my food and said it's not cool and I said you just touched it. He said look, take the food and get out of my restaurant. The one thing about me is I don't lie on no one. That's exactly how he treated me. I think he wouldn't have treated me like that and I hate to use the race card if I wasn't black. He would never have talked to a white person like that and these people make money in our neighborhoods and don't think they have to respect us. This guy is horrible for business. Then he had the nerve to have a threatening attitude and he messed up my food and then giving me...

Found a great spot on Google where we ended up having breakfast. The Spot is new, simple and unassuming and the owner and his son are genuine and friendly. They are a fairly new spot that you should visit. The menu has about 10 combos which mixes basically eggs, waffles, pancakes, French toast, turkey sausage or bacon into combos. Very easy and very delicious. My partner thought the French toast was perfect and I have been telling everyone about the best pancakes I had. To me they were light and fluffy and really no need for syrup. Although...I did indulge . And it was so refreshing to have turkey breakfast meats. They keep breakfast light! FYI...there was also a lunch portion of the menu that I did not even look at. So do not rule them out of your after breakfast meals. It seems that dad cooks and the son is server. Both were a delight to chat with and attentive. Please go out and support this local business. There will...
