⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem in Westland!

I really didn’t feel like cooking today, so after work, my daughter and I decided to stop by Westland Fish and Chicken. Let me just say—I usually drive all the way to Detroit for my fish and chicken because I haven’t found a spot near my job that actually tastes good… until now.

Baby, let me tell you—from the moment I tasted those catfish nuggets, I was in LOVE! I couldn’t even take a picture because I started eating right away. The okra? Perfectly cooked and so flavorful. I ordered the 12-piece leg & thigh (crispy), and it was just right—not greasy or tasting like old oil.

And can we talk about the fresh peppers?! You have to have peppers with your chicken—especially if you’re a spicy girl like me! 🔥

Oh, and the crawfish? Delicious. My son gave it the stamp of approval. He tore up the chicken and saved the crawfish for his little “treat” later.

The food was so good, I literally called them back just to say thank you and let them know how much I enjoyed it. Now that’s how you know it hit the spot!

So with that being said, I’ve officially found my new chicken and fish spot when I’m working out this way. Keep up the great work, y’all—you’re doing it...

Shrimp and chicken were decent. Place is dirty and they forgot the tiny little coleslaw that should have come with shrimp. Instead with my 4piece dark chicken I got fries with it and the jumbo fried shrimps I got fries with it. No coleslaw. When I called to let them know the Fella that took my order arguing with me about a half scoop of coleslaw that was NOT in the bag. I'd go back for the shrimp n chicken then stop somewhere else for sides. They are tiny anyway and you may not even get them. All in all the proteins were acceptable but atmosphere and customer service is definitely lacking what it needs. They don't seem to really care either especially if arguing they gave a dm coleslaw on a 28.00 order n that was just for my little 118pnd self. I'm small but I do reviews so I order at least 2to3 entrées. I also do my reviews under a whole other name with a strong following so I will end with this guy's. 2018- I'm only giving them 3 stars because their catfish nuggets are awesome. Their wing dings and whole wings are good, only sometimes. Been there a few times for wings and twice they were hard and over cooked, slightly burnt taste. Today was the second time this happened. I will no longer purchase wings from them, only catfish nuggets.

2-2-2021 Update: 4 stars Ok so, I must give them another star for their chicken gizzard, because they are quite yummy.😊

If I could give them any advice that would help their fried food items score better, it would be too find a better way to keep the fried foods from sweating in that styrofoam container.🤔 When I get in my car, I've started opening the container slightly, so it can ventilate properly.
