Once in a while you find a place that is great in every way. This describes Mad Rabbit Distillery. We have taken tours all over the metro area and even some in Ireland and Kentucky. Paul's tour was one of if not the best we have been on. I believe that was because unlike other tours Paul was the owner and his passion really came through. Small tour and very personal. We did not feel rushed and Paul took the time to answer our questions quite efficiently :-) Let's take a small step back to when we came in the door. There were 4 of us and we didn't really know what to expect as none of us had been there before. Mad Rabbit is a nice clean open and very friendly place, Maddie ( I really hope that I spelled that right) was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable almost immediately. The tour started at the bar with samples of vodka, rum and bourbon. Maddie was super informative and let us know that after the tour we had a cocktail included. The after tour cocktails were phenomenal and were made better with a little guidance from Maddie. We also ordered the meat and cheese plate. Huge and way beyond our expectations. The four of us didn't finish it all. While we were attempting to take on the meat and cheese plate Margret, Paul's wife visited with us. This just couldn't have been a better evening. When we were leaving Maddie, Paul and Margret all said goodbye. It was almost like visiting family, you know the ones that you actually like. We are looking forward to returning very soon. Taco...

We went for the Distillery Tour, which was $20/each but included a free signature cocktail ($10 value). We were greeted immediately and offered a few small tastes of their different liquors. The vodka was exceptionally smooth.
The tour was interesting and the distillery immaculate. We learned a lot.
The cocktails were delicious - their vodka is so smooth I bought a bottle. It's the best vodka I've ever had.
The food is standard bar food but that's exactly what we wanted. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the persistent grease smell that permeated everything, including all of our clothes.
A different person checked us out than greeted us and didn't realize we were there for a tour and should have had 4 of the (many) cocktails comped. I didn't realize it until later.
I called and left a message, thinking maybe for the next customers they would at least ask if they were there on a tour. I hoped for a refund or bar credit but didn't think that was likely days later.
To my joy and surprise, the bartender (maybe Audrey? I'm bad with names) returned my call and said she'd put our names on a list for 4 cocktails at the bar! Talk about great service! We'll definitely be back next time we're...
Read moreI have now been here three times and each time has been a great experience making me want to keep coming back.
The drinks have all been excellent and very unique with rotating specials and dinks of the month that allow you to try something new each time you are in.
Different staff on all three occasions but each and every one of them has been very friendly and helpful when you have questions or want a suggestion. They take their time making the drinks which is a plus in my book as you know they put care into what they make.
The last time I was there the person I believe to be the owner was going above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and when we had an issue with one of the games he was prompt in helping resolve the issue.
The food is better than most other bars and distilleries and enough selection to be able to find at least one thing you are craving.
There is also a ton of games and things to keep you occupied like televisions playing sports, pinball tables, virtual golf and I think I even saw a cornhole set.
And on your way out you can buy a bottle to go and support your local distillery instead of the big...
