No way is this the #1 haunted house in Colorado! I paid almost $200 for 2 elite passes only to get immediate access one time and none of what was advertised. Firstly, we still had to wait in line for 30 min so not very immediate. They did not space out the groups at all. So on top of being right behind someone I had people literally slamming into my back. I almost had to stop due to the pain and discomfort. Almost none of the scare actors were doing anything but standing there, most of which either didn't have any lines or forgot what they were doing. The scenes where awesome but the whole thing felt short due to poor planning and structure on their part. Also in regards to the museum, the only way to see it is to go through the house and we were being forced through not even being able to stop and actually look and read the signs. The same goes for the gift shop which can only be accessed via going trough the house and was merely a counter with some cups and a shirt. The shooting range was down and the elite escape room that came with our passes was a mere 5 minutes. Not sure what can be done in such a short amount of time. But the kicker was that we were told we wouldn't even be able to understand enough to do it unless we saw a particular movie and there wasn't really a point in doing it if we didn't see it. None of which, of course, was on the website. There wasn't even anyone to let us in we had to ask a separate person. And every single other thing to do costs a separate fee. So there wasn't really any point to getting the elite pass. It actually took us longer to get to the compound that it did to do all their attractions which honestly was just really sad. To put it into perspective, it only took us 35-40 minutes to get down there. The whole experience really just fell short of what was advertised. They could have done so much more to make it a halfway decent experience but it seems that they really don't care about giving people the experience...
Read moreWhat an amazing experience, if we could give a 10 star we would!! From start to finish I was scared and it is not easy to scare us! At one point I pulled my husband close and said “babe please don’t let go of me I am really scared”, we are people that do horror all year long, go to 3-5 haunted house a year, & watch scary movies often… so that is saying something to EVERYONE!! The actor on that elevator is one that stood out to me, locking eyes with me, with what felt like an eternity, to just to pull the lever so the floor shook beneath us! The contortionists bending their bodies following us around telling us how they would eat us… followed the creepy animal faced actors & clicking noises everywhere. All to end with a fridge opening and a woman jumping out “I think it would be best if we got you to have a heart attack before I fed on you”… will we be back, h*ll yes we will!!! Marissa even took time out of her evening to talk to us about the history of the haunted house, making us feel included in a different way! The museum is an amazing addition to this haunt with photo opportunities that make the evening more memorable & help you understand the year-round work that goes into creating nightmares! We don’t purchase merchandise unless we love an event, we left with a sweatshirt tonight! We have been to this haunt multiple times, tonight you made a life long lover of the Carrigan’s!
We went to the lightsout event tonight (November 8th) and it was more amazing then when we went the first time, I did not think that was possible!!! The actors were better this time around & hidden so well the jump scares were none stop! We screamed from start to finish! Epic!!!! We can’t wait to be back...
Read moreReview: Disappointing Experience at Freightmare Compound
I wish I could say something positive about Freightmare Compound, but unfortunately, it was a complete letdown. We paid $150, expecting a thrilling haunted house experience, but what we got was anything but scary. There were only five actors that we saw, and they seemed completely disinterested and lacking enthusiasm. They didn't even try to appear scary, and their costumes looked like random pieces from a donation bin – very amateur.
The setup of the haunted house itself had potential, but it was totally wasted. With only 5 or 6 actors spread across the entire space, it felt empty and lifeless. To make matters worse, groups were packed way too close together, so the actors were overwhelmed, and no one got a decent scare or immersive experience.
The price is absolutely not worth it. I would not recommend this haunted house to anyone, and I certainly will not be returning. In fact, I almost feel like reporting this to the BBB as a scam because this was far from what they advertise. Save your money and skip this place – it was the worst haunted house I’ve ever been to.
**Also the owner needs to learn how to handle criticism, the reason your so defensive is because you know your haunted house sucks and your actors do too. Hey the truth hurts sometimes 🤷🏽. Take the same time and effort you have for your childish replys and put that energy into making your haunted house a little more enjoyable. You have alot to learn as an owner and representative and I will never recommend this location to anyone. But hey good luck cause your...
