The Kozy Nook is a great place for a family meal while eating out. Their fish and chips are great for lunch and I really enjoy their prime rib special on Saturday night. The staff is friendly and professional while the atmosphere is quiet, letting you relax and enjoy your meal. You will see lots of regulars who enjoy the food, service and atmosphere. Went back again to enjoy another great meal. I ordered the Asparagus Stuffed Chicken and my wife ordered the Surf and Turf Caesar Salad. My chicken breast was tasty, tender and juicy. Her salad had generous portions of shrimp and steak tips with great taste. Once again we both enjoyed a wonderful meal in a nice quiet atmosphere. Went back again and ordered Ma’s Meatloaf, with a baked potato and butternut squash. The meatloaf and gravy were very tasty. The service has always been excellent. The staff hustles to provide great and friendly service. Tried Raspberry Jelly Roll Cheesecake this time and it was fantastic. The Boston Cream Pie is the best we have ever had!!! They did a great job of remodeling the interior. It is easy to see and taste why the locals frequently dine here. Went back again and had a great tasting cup of Chili to start off my lunch, followed by a Classic BLT, which I really enjoyed. Finished the meal with a slice of delicious Bailey’s Irish Cheesecake. My wife ordered fried Scallops and said they were melt in your mouth delicious. I ordered the 12 oz sirloin special and it was fantastic. The Tavern Tips are great, tender and tasty. Back for lunch and started with some excellent Clam Cakes. They were crunchy and tasty. My Golden Chicken Wrap was stuffed with tasty and tender chicken and lots of fresh vegetables. My wife enjoyed her Baked Scallops. The food is always consistently very good and the service is always great. Leslie, Robin and Cindy always do a fantastic job. Leslie loves her job and it shows with the way she treats the patrons under her care, Local organizations like the American Legion and various church groups meet here for lunch and...
Read moreThe weather is being its typical New England self. My friends arrived well in advance of me. They had obtained a booth (nook). I felt welcomed as I walked through the door even though I had the airs of a 'Springtime Skuke'. I immediately found my party. One was well known and greeted by every server. His townie connection was strong. I sat down and our server came over immediately to get my drink order. I had a raspberry iced tea. The server maintained a hawk like eye on it level and kept it full throughout my stay. After our drinks were brought, we ordered. All started with soup. I had the clam chowder. I ordered a bowl. It was a generous portion. The chowder was perfect. My friends had a clam boil soup. We then ordered our entrees after we stacked our bowls. The servers whisked away those dishes. There were two servers working our area. Both very great at their jobs. Always there but never intrusive. I never felt rushed and we even sat for awhile after our entree. I had the BLT with onion rings. The rings were more like onion straws. The BLT was pretty good (A-). It was average, I think to much lettuce? I am unsure. My friends had: meatloaf, turkey dinner, steak tip dinner. The portions were plentiful. They did not finish their plates. We conversed for a good while after paying. Again drinks refilled. The term Kozy is true as we were given waves and thanks as we left. A few people were at the bar.
What I was really impressed with was the customer service. Another table made a complaint about a chicken dish and the server got the person a different meal with no questions but feedback about what the person did not like about it. Very respectful and made sure what appeared to be a picky customer was well taken care of.
The bills was 108.00. We left 27.00 tip. The server(s) were realllllly great. I have eaten here 5 years plus before (breakfast)....
Read moreI am a fan of the ordinary. Ordinary good food prepared with quality ingredients and superior recipies. It does not have to be exotic or innovative. It does have to be tasty and well prepared. The Kozy Nook has that. I have enjoyed several of their many lunch and dinner choices and my only complaint was when I ordered the "Baked Stuffed Fish" and discovered when it was served that it had a marinara sauce on top. I was surprised that the menu did not mention the sauce. I do not eat tomato with fish. As it was, my husband and I switched our meals so, I enjoyed his broiled fish and he enjoyed my baked stuffed fish. The waitress did offer to change my order, but as my husband likes the sauce we were fine.
1/11/24. We had baked scrod that we had to put tartar sauce on to moisten it. The French fries were frozen, but ok with enough catsup. Who thinks cold plain beets is a good idea? The coffee was good and the...
