Worst Hooters I have ever visited! My family and I have been here on 3 occasions. We typically order 50 wings with some appetizers every time we go to Hooters. On our last visit we ordered 50 wings and they were horrible! The sauce was not right at all. We ordered 10mild, 20 medium and 20 plain. The plain wings turned out to be the best. The sauce for both was downright disgusting. Smelled like it had mayonnaise in it and I kept noticing the smell evey time a waitress would walk near us with another tables wings.
Then the blue cheese dressing tasted like they switched to that cheap Kens brand so I had nothing to cover up the horrible flavor.
On our previous visit we had a terrible waitress and the manager was just downright ignorant or did not care. I never in my life have left a restaurant without tipping the waitress unit that day. It took about 20 minutes to get our first round of drinks and place our order. Then we asked for more drinks when the food arrived and about 20 minutes later we still had not seen or waitress or our drinks. Finally I asked the manager if he could figure out what was going on and he decided to take our order again and bring them to us. I asked him when
We were watching a football game so we planned to stay a while and eat more. Our drinks were empty again and still no sign of our waitress. The manager came by our table and asked how everything was and we said it would be great if we could find our waitress as we planned to order more. He just sighed and replied again? I stated yes and said that we still have not seen her since we received our first round of food. He apoligized likenhe did not care and said he would find her. I told him to forget it and give us the check as we were tired of having to beg for service. He just replied okay and another waitress brought us the check. He did nothing to rectify the situation.
I have been going to Hooters since I was a kid. I moved to Florida where Hooters originated and everything was always spot on at every location till I went to this Hooters here in CT. I will not step foot in...
Read moreCame here tonight during the car show/cruise night and place was packed outside with people coming in and out all throughout the show.
Parking - plenty of spaces when it’s not during a cruise night.
Service - I had Natalie as a waitress and she was phenomenal. Waitress came and checked how I was doing multiple times during my visit here and each time was “in you need anything, please let me know.” Manager was walking around quite a bit through my visit, checking on everyone to see how they were and needed anything. Cook would yell to the waitresses when orders were up..which is something I’ve never seen or heard but it works and definitely gets your attention.
Food - I had the steamed shrimp 1/2 lb which came out to roughly be 10-12 pieces of shrimp with a side of cocktail sauce, a side of garlic butter and a lemon. Was pretty good, seasoned but once you take the shell off, it is what it is…shrimp. Then I had a bowl of chili with cheese and onions…which I love my chili, the only downfall, which I don’t know if it’s because of eating seafood first…the chili tasted like it was Hormel or a canned chili. It just had that taste to it that it didn’t taste like it was made in-house.
This is the last Hooters in CT and really hope that it doesn’t close because it does do good business and it’s a staple here in CT and we’re not to far from everything in the state. Overall…I’d give it 5* but the chili is what gets me..on a scale of 1-10…this was a solid 8.7 and the service is what did it, otherwise I prolly would’ve been in the 7’s..on a 1-5, it’s a 4.6..again, service is what saved it from being high...
Read moreThe food is what it is. But like so many of the Hooters restaurants, your experience will depend on which staff server you get, and what her mood is at the time. Some are indeed friendly, funny, and interactive. Others will take your order, get your food, give you the bill, and that's it. Others do the absolute minimum and seem like they don't want to be there. Others are simply stuck up and distant. The blonde fitness trainer will say next to nothing, stay 10 feet away from your table if possible, and avoid eye contact at all costs. The bartender repeat Hooters calendar girl beauty pageant contestant, on the day shift Thurs-Sat, spends most of her time in the back, away from the customers at the bar, making only brief appearances. Problem: servers don't have a "section", they are all over the restaurant, so your interaction will be minimal. Unless of course you are relatives of the owner! Finally, the ads you see on FB and other social media are not really the staff that work at this particular restaurant. Those are national ads for the chain, so don't expect to see those waitress at...
