El Rancho Grande — Restaurant in Wetumpka

So we get here have to wait and that's no big deal. I don't mind waiting at all. When we finally sit down our waiter takes forever to get to us. Then as we're ordering he says, "oh we have no rice".... Both of us were getting something with rice. We both say that we didn't know what to get now that there was no rice and also told him what we were going to get. So I settle with just two plain tacos and my friend substitutes something for hers. Then after a 30min wait on our food the waiter brings out my friend some rice with the substituted also. He gives me the tacos.... I am just So mad at this point that I'm ready to walk out, but I sat there because my friend had everything she wanted. The waiter never tried to refill our drinks and took more than 5 minutes each time we asked for something, but by this time they were not even busy. This is by far the worst 1st experience ever! The waiters...

My sweetee and myself were here last night and 5 stars just isn't enough!!! Shelia usually gets a chimichanga at any Mexican place but I talked her into the 4 enchilada combo platter (fantastic). I changed from my usual steak to chicken fajitas with just onions. That was THEE best not the best but THEE BEST I have had since birth, 1 Sep 59. I'm used to the meat and onions being scorched some on the platter, I saw 1 very small onion slice well done period!!! The chicken- juicy and tender....the onions-cooked perfectly. Did I mention how well the chicken fajitas tasted? Maybe this will help....if the my meal would've fell on the floor my 5'4" 350 lb. self would've been layin on the floor right next to it not missin a beat and I had my left knee replaced and a plate with 4 screws removed...

Always fast service, friendly staff and excellent food. I’ve had several menu items and can say that every one I’ve had was good. The prices at reasonable and it’s a great place to have a family get together. If you love margaritas, theirs is the best. I always go for the frozen as they are excellent. Though a bit pricey, they are definitely worth it given that they obviously don’t hold back on the alcohol in them. If you are a lightweight, the small will give you a warm fuzzy feeling when done. The medium will for sure have you depending on someone else driving home and if you dare to take on the large (which I haven’t but I’m sure is meant to be a sharer) you may not even remember you were out for Mexican. Great place to eat and would recommend to anyone coming...
