June 11, 2024 around 7:00 pm, I sat at the bar and I ordered 2 crab cake platters with fries to go and a side of broccoli. This came to $40.00 + change. I then ordered a virgin strawberry daiquiri. I told the bartender that I will drink that while I wait for my food. She was nice but it took her awhile to make the virgin daiquiri. She kept going in the back with the glass 🤷🏾♀️. Once she made it, she told me that she never made that before 🤷🏾♀️. I took a sip and it was sooooo sour my eyes were starting to tear up. I told her that I can’t drink that but I still paid 8.00 +change for a drink that I left at the bar and I only took one sip. She dipped her straw in the drink and she said it’s a lot of lime and strawberry. She asked if I wanted her to make a new one. I said no. I also gave her a small tip only because she was nice but I should not have because that drink was horrible. I have had many virgin daiquiris from different restaurants and I also have made them myself and I must say Crabbys had the worst virgin daiquiri that I have ever had. How can u mess up a virgin daiquiri? Later that evening , my husband opened his food there were no fries . By then it was too late to call the restaurant, they were closed also we don’t live close to the restaurant. I dipped a piece of broccoli in the garlic sauce it was sooo spicy I started coughing like crazy, it was burning my throat. Crabby I am disappointed. I paid a total of close to a little over $50.00 and the drink that was left at the bar; just 1 sip and it was horrible, fries were missing and garlic sauce had me coughing and throat burning. A man walked around asking some people how their meal was (I don’t know if he was the manager or owner). He never came and asked me how my drink was. Clearly the drink was sitting there unattended because the bartender moved it from it from in front me and she just left it sitting at the bar🤷🏾♀️. She didn’t dispose of it, not while I was there anyway🤷🏾♀️. This is my 2nd time eating from here and probably my last.
Update: I spoke with one of the owners Adam and he was very nice. He invited me to come back to the restaurant in which I did. Adam fixed the garlic sauce and it tasted much better and it didn’t burn my throat nor make me cough. Adam gave me some garlic crab fries for my husband. I ate them because my husband didn’t want them. They were delicious. I had another Virgin strawberry daiquiri this one tasted better but it was extra sweet. Overall Adam made things better. Thank u Adam. God bless u, ur fam, and ur business. I am changing my star rating...
Read moreTwo of my besties bragged about this place to me and I said on my next day off I was going to venture out to see what all the fuss was about🥰 Well, I was pleasantly surprised, and equally impressed. Now it's kind of a hole in the wall, but in a very good way. I was warmly greeted by customers coming out as I was walking in. I was greeted with a big smile and I felt very welcomed. I was immediately ushered to a two-seater table by the window, and charmed with my favorite starter beverage "unsweetened iced tea w/lemon (which btw was very well brewed). Crabby's is a pretty diverse and inclusive environment, meaning no one seemed judgy. I ordered six large crabs, fries and slaw. The crabs were amazing! They were very well seasoned but not overwhelmingly spicy or anything like that, just plain old good. My fries were fresh cut nothing from a frozen bag, and the coleslaw was homemade (Yum). I went in on everything ha ha. I didn't have time to fight with the claws, so I broke him off and set them to the side which they gave me a box at the end to carry them home for round two later on. If what I experienced today is the norm for this place, I will be back again and again. I am already bragging about it to other friends so I'm sure I won't be alone next time, but the type of person I am, I don't wait for anyone whether I'm with friends or alone I will be back! Thank you so much for all of your kindness, delicious good quality offerings, and for being such a diverse place that welcomes all. See you again soon. Crabby's..So...
Read moreI will start with the positive....good crab legs. We came here because our normal place which is cheaper and has an entire buffet was closed for renovations. We read the reviews and though good stuff. We all got the all you can eat crab leg/ shrimp special. There were 3 of us. We joked with the waitress that we were professional crab leg eaters. After our first serving, as we were finishing them up, we asked for more because you really don't want to wait. Well we waited and waited some more. When we asked for more, we were told they would be right out, we watched as several plates came out; but not ours. Finally the waitress brought out a plate, one plate for all 3 of us. There were 3 clusters on it. We said no, for 40 bucks we are each want another plate. The waitress snarled and grabbed the plate back up and then said well we don't want these to get cold while you wait for the others and made us wait again. I'm sorry but when you are paying 40 dollars for all you can eat, it shouldn't be a surprise that you want more to eat. The waitress was cranky and unpleasant. I'm sorry you are busy and lots of people want crab legs, that is no reason to get upset when we want more. Slowest wait for crab legs at any place I've ever eaten. Keep that in mind if you go there for any of their all you can eat specials....they don't expect you to eat...
