Buddy's Bites N Brews — Restaurant in Wheeling Township

Apparently, they are going through some management/name changes, but nonetheless, I really had a really good time here! I wanted a place to watch the Bears game. Now, don't get me wrong, there's no changing that this place is a roadside tavern. But I just felt this place was better than most.

The service was friendly, there was plenty of (comfy) seating, plenty of TVs, they had Golf, Pool, Baggos, darts (...I think). Parking lot right outside... What I was not expecting was how good the food was! I ordered the Nashville spicy Chicken Sandwich with Coleslaw and WHOA, it was really good!! (Another thing, during Bears' games, they offer free snacks at halftime! They had nachos with cheese, there were these tasty garlic bread bites, along with a perfect marinara to dip them into. They offered two flavors of wings... BBQ and Buffalo, both REALLY good (imo)). I just didn't expect a bar to have such tasty food. It was a great experience. Someone even bought me a shot!

The only thing that was lacking was the crowd. This is the only reason why I didn't give everything 5 stars. There seems to be endless space. This place could be packed and still have room for more. But there's no reason more people can't go there, eat, drink and watch a game. They have everything you need. It would be a good time. I think they just need to get the word out.

Typical roadhouse atmosphere. Plenty of TVs playing a variety of shows. The mother-in-law appreciated the channel with funny animals.

Slow but friendly bartender/server, but she was there by herself other than the kitchen staff. Prices are pretty good. There are plenty of beer choices, but not many craft brews on tap. The ones they do have are good ones though.

My companions were both happy with their BLTs and their bacon was crisp as requested. It's amazing how often that doesn't happen. My cheeseburger was pretty good. The tater tots and onion petals were typical frozen bar food.

Three and a half stars, rounded up to keep the mother-in-law happy since this is one of her favorite places.

UPDATE: Apparently they've changed their name to Miggy24. They've changed the menu, raised the prices, and become disappointing in every way. The tables were sticky, and we waited quite some time for someone to bring us menus. The elderly family member with us only wanted to come because she loved their BLTs, but they were no longer offered. After shouting at each other over the loud music, we decided to leave...

Service is usually slow here. I like to be able to go upstairs and play darts though! It's always empty up there and the music is usually good! However, this is an updated review. I have been going here fairly regularly for about a year now. Only ever to play darts and pool upstairs.

Today when we got there the bartender was obviously in a bad mood. Seemed upset about having to turn on the tvs for us to watch football (we learned where the lights were a long time ago so we didn't need to bother the bartenders).

They NEVER clean upstairs and I usually wouldn't complain about this as we are just using the bar games they have available. However, the bathrooms have not been cleaned in who knows how long. It's smells musty and the garbages are full. Also, the garbage on the second floor are full.

Also, we were accused of smoking upstairs which we would NEVER do. We respect the places we visit regardless of their respect to us.
