I can't really rate the food or the service of the working staff. We never sat down to eat. We had a 5pm reservation for a special anniversary. We were at the Weathervane theater and just walked over after an afternoon show ended to see if there was a chance we could eat early. It was about 3:30. We walked in and they looked closed and a young woman was setting tables. Just to confirm I asked if they were open. She turned to an older woman who confirmed they were closed but then assumed or guessed who we were and she was correct. I asked if we could eat a little earlier when they open. She said about 4:30 come back. I said no problem. Then a man walking through the dining room shouted at me we open at 5. I said, no problem, we'll just come back at 5. The older lady said yeah between 4:45-5pm will be fine. The man turned and shouted at her. "We open at 5! I have to do everything today!" I said, "sir, calm down, it's not a problem, I was just asking". He hurried off and the woman apologized and then I apologized for getting the fella mad. She wished us a happy anniversary and we walked out the door. As we walked outside my wife and I both looked at each other and agreed, we were not walking back through the door later or ever again. We did not want our special day ruined by this angry person and especially did not want him involved in any way preparing the food we were going to eat. So not sure how many stars is right, but that is our story. I hope the fella was just having a bad day and your visit will be pleasant...
Read moreI wish I could give them negative stars!! My husband called to make a reservation for dinner for our anniversary. He told Joanne the owner that it was our anniversary and that we wanted to be seated in the dining room and NOT the pub. We even went with a later time so that they could accommodate dinner in the dining room. She never, ever mentioned a wedding going on that night. My husband confirmed with her 3 times that we would be in the dining room. When we got there the hostess went to seat us in the pub. She told us there was a wedding going on in the dining room and that there was no availability in that room. Joanne even came out and said "oh NO we have a wedding going on". She acted like she had never told my husband we would be in the dining room (to celebrate our anniversary). We left very upset. We were LIED to!!! At this point it was 7:30pm so we couldn't make any other arrangements. There isn't much to choose from as it is in the north country and we couldn't make another reservation on that type of notice! THANKS FOR RUINING OUR ANNIVERSARY JOANNE!!! We'll make sure to share our story. I've heard this isn't the first time this had happened at your...
Read moreI rarely leave bad reviews but this was one of the worst experiences and food in New Hampshire area. We went there to celebrate birthday and left totally dissapointed. First good - we were seated fast and appetizers came out quick and were actually quite good. That's all! We waited our food over an hour and saw some people who came after us in other side getting their food first. Waitress was cold and snippy and not welcoming at all - no smiles either and our party of 7 felt like she was bothered by us. When food finally came out it was totally disappointing and just bad. One burger was under cooked and red, veggie burger was hard and over cooked, pulled pork sandwich extra spicy and just not tasty, macaroni and cheese was meant for a kid but had so little sauce that you could name it just boiled pasta, oh and all fries again over cooked. Great birthday dinner! Also I never seen place that does not have kids menu - well they did but it was just pretty much copied from regular menu with same prices and the choices were just lousy. I would drive further and eat in Littleton because this was just too...
