I wanted to give a 2.5, but that rating is not available....we went for our 10th anniversary. We dined at 5:30 on 5/18---a Saturday evening. It pains me to leave this low rating; most of my restaurant ratings are 4.0 and above.....

We were told it was not that great, but we wanted to try for ourselves. Welp, IT'S NOT THAT GREAT! We literally had an Applebee's meal on fancy plates. $69 for a SMALL ribeye with no taste and full of grizzle. 3, count them THREE sprigs of asparagus and a dollop of potatoes. The house salad that came with the meal was a bowl of wilted field greens.

My husband had the "traditional cut" (larger cut, according to the menu) prime rib. It was so small and tasteless. He got 4 slivers, and I do mean SLIVERS of raw carrots. Not al dente--RAW and 4, exactly 4 green beans. The only good part of the meal was the $7 small boat of mushrooms.

The wine was very good and the $20 Manhattan from the bar was wonderful.

Then on to dessert.....it was GOD AWFUL. Tasted like it came straight off the US Foods truck. Dry and tasteless. The dessert LOOKED wonderful on the cart, but looks were very deceiving. (see photo) Carrot cake was absolutely tasteless and like a pound cake. The key lime pie tasted like it came for the frozen food section at your local grocery store.

As we waited for the check, we could clearly hear a waitress talking to a hostess about the crap tip she got and bad-mouthing the patrons. Low class staff in upscale black and white clothing.

The waiter was hovering and kept calling us "ladies and gentlemen"....annoying." How was your first course ladies and gentlemen?" Huh? It was embarrassing for him. Other patrons were laughing. This, at a "fine" steakhouse.....There were only 2 of us; stop yelling ladies and gentlemen every time you approach the table. He was very loud. The entire place heard all of our business, including the AMOUNT OF OUR CHECK. Why, oh why did he have to shout "the original amount of our check was $245, but with our casino discount, it came to only $135"?!? To make sure we understood how to tip, that's why.

We will never go back and will tell everyone that asks that the place sucks. Again, an Applebee's meal at Morton Steak House prices. Low class staff in high class clothing. Terrible experience. We did not tell the waiter or Hostess how bad it was. We simply stated, "it was ok, but we won't be back" when we left. Not one question as to why we had that opinion.....they don't care. Just enjoy your Big Boy's steak and give us your money.....the place barely had 3 tables the entire time we were there on a Saturday night at 5:30. That should tell you something, I guess. We would have gladly paid $40 for this couple's meal at an Applebee's or Chili's. Expectations were definitely busted at this place. Awful......do not eat here unless you have money to just throw at the wind. Your guests will be disappointed and you will be...

If you enjoy a 3 hour dining experience when you only ordered entrees this is your spot. If you expect anything to be done by management for a poor experience you will be mistaken. If you been waiting to pay your bill for 20min they will call security lol. 8 guys show up to eat and gamble after day of golf no reservation. 5 tables in restaurant besides our group maybe 20 guest total including us. We order drinks that take 15 minutes to arrive kinda long but no biggie in this wait they don’t take our order. Drinks are delivered and we are ready to put our food in. After 25 min I ask the manager if our food will be up soon he says yes after 35 min I explain this is getting tough since we didn’t order salad or soup or apps. He replies that it takes 30 minutes to cook a ribeye medium lol maybe they cook them in the oven but it should be 10 minutes on grill I would have said 8 but they were thicker cut. After 45 min I tell the manager if he can do 30 percent off our bill will be good or send a bunch of extra sides out he goes I can do dessert what a joke. I ask to speak to the host while we still have not got food. After a hour our food arrives and so does the host. He says he can do 15 percent and dessert still no great but it is what it is. Says he will send server over to get us desserts. We never see the server he does not get desserts and we ask for our bills. This turns into them calling security on us while we wait another 20-30 minutes for our check. It was insane. No wonder place was less than half full on a Friday night. Manager was a joke host seemed professional enough but not aware of how restaurants should operate. 5 of us left and chose not to gamble which they would of made the extra 15 percent back on us plus more it was only about 115 $ to make things right on our 800$ tab. Out of the 24 guys on our annual trip I can guarantee we will never be back bringing poker chips from now on and staying away...

We were in Traverse city for a family vacation and went to Bourbons 72 for a a birthday dinner and a little of gambling. Spent about $400+ for our dinner. Our server was Sarah and I'm afraid she was either having a bad day or she's just not a happy person (no smile, no proper greeting, mediocre service), something I wouldn't expect from a restaurant with such high prices, especially when you go there for a special occasion. Food was just ok. My soup was so salty, I had to chase every spoon with a sip of water, I ended up sending it back. Beef stroganoff dish was bland and lucking flavor, I did not send it back though. Later on that evening we were told by the casino's front desk that everyone who had a birthday that month (July) were entitled to a free desert at Bourbons 72 and discounted drinks through out the casino. I went back to the restaurant and spoke with manager on duty - Corey. I told him about the free desserts we didn't get at the dinner. Corey was useless and failed to address the issue because the check was closed. I'd like to point out that any POS systems nowadays have an option to refund/partially refund a transaction and to charge it again if needed. I guess Corey cared less since it was the end of his shift that night. Furthermore our server Sarah was indeed informed by one of the family members that we had a birthday person at the table. She totally ignored it. We had three people at the table with birthdays that month. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone based on our experience. We will never be back to...

When I was here a year or so ago, it was good, thoroughly enjoyed it then. This time... meh. Nathan was great though - friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The food though was average. Asian kabobs, a bit bland and overcooked; crab cake, um, just okay and would be better with a remoulade or aioli (unless they forgot it on ours), and they were very small; calamari, chewy and they should serve with a spoon or something as the sauce is at the bottom but I can get over that... it was just too chewy; fries or frites were good but again the steak on top was overcooked (or maybe everyone prefers really well done here hmmmm). The shrimp cocktail was good, and I liked that they included a dollop of horseradish on the sauce as an option. Other that that, the atmosphere was pretty dull. Lots of space, but no energy, nothing on the walls, nothing on any surfaces so maybe they were going for a clean aesthetic but seemed a bit empty feeling because of it. No vibe at all. In any case, good service and food looked pretty at least. Overall was a bit average though.

Was hyped up & ready to go to this place after looking at other reviews. We left extremely dissatisfied. Thought the atmosphere was nice, however the food was below average. Ordered their signature bourbons 72 steak medium and it came gray and basically rare. Sent it back and it came back looking more gray. No seasoning used on their vegetables, or on the steak even though it stated specific seasonings. Was given a salmon pâté on a spoon; wasn’t offered, just given. Their beef curry, butternut squash soup was OK. But basically the start of our vacation was ruined with this dinner & we will not return.

Absolutely delicious. Tucked away in the casino is this gem. Its quiet and relaxing. Unfortunately they dont offer much for draft beer, (only had one) but that's not a deal breaker Your going to pay a pretty penny, but it's definitely worth it. Chef soup was phenomenal, the steak was cooked perfect and full of flavor. Only real complaint was the baked potatoe, definitely should upgrade to the mashed!
