Brewed Awakenings Coffee Company — Restaurant in Whitney

Update: I've been back multiple times and met everyone who works here, and I can safely say they dont have a single unkind worker, or a bad cup of coffee. Period.

I at first didn't see the place as it is a bit small, and easy to miss, but the reviews were so good that we went out of our way to hunt it down: Best Decision Ever Made. The food is incredible. The drinks are so much stronger and not as sweet as what can be expected at run of the mill coffee shops (though they have fraps for kids that are sweet and dont have caffeine). The variety is great and they'll work with you to find what you want and get just the right drink... but the people are what make it. I've met two people working there. Both are about the kindest, most down-to-earth, helpful people you could ask to meet. They were respectful to my sister and myself (she wears a hijab and I'm trans) which is rare in small town Texas. They were bright and helpful, and they were just the best part of the experience. I come here fairly regularly now, and will continue to do so. My favorite coffee place...

Drink #1: A chai latte and it's the best I've ever had that I didn't make at home. Usually the flavor of the chai is mild/bland at best. This chai latte is on point and you can taste the delicious chai from beginning to end in each sip!

Drink #2: She made a whole experience! I didn't know ordering coffee from a drive up window could bring so much joy. I told her my absolute favorite flavors. And she said she was trying something new, would I like to try? Yes Ma'am I would!! She made me a German Chocolate latte and it was delicious. Chocolatey, not too sweet, and nicely balanced.

I did not try the food (yet) but...

Best coffee in the area. Definitely within Starbucks level. I come to this place because it's local and we should always support our local businesses.

The staff there is friendly and very knowledgeable. Don't see what you want on the menu? Just ask! They customize. ALSO you can call and pre order so when you pull up, it's ready for pick up.

I haven't tried their food so maybe you can try it for me and post your review on it lol. But for sure at least try them out. Great peeps.
