You're sitting there, excited, scared, but mostly hungry. An old woman approaches the table and you don't know if she'll understand you but before you can even think of how or what to say: the word "pho" escapes your lips as if someone else said it. Your eyes dart across the ancient asian art pieces glowing with gold color. Anything to distract you from the wait... anything. You peer across the table towards your overweight friend with unkept hair who is on his third attempt at telling you a joke but again you lose focus. Pho....pho....pho. It's the only thing on your mind. When out of nowhere - a kiddie pool sized bowl is placed before you. With chop sticks weilded and spices spiced, you dive into majestic paradise, transcending history, and life itself. The broth is seasoned and simmered to perfection, the wide array of flavors dance around your tongue like a ballet. The noodles have absorbed the exact amount of water and heat to glide down your mouth and throat. Shrimp, tofu, pork, and squid disappear one after the other as you feast. The bean sprouts and bay leaves add crunch add leniency to the red pepper and jalapeno spicy endeavor. Before you can even hear your tubby friend burp, your pho has been finished. Awww the beautiful masterpiece of a dish has been ingested by no one other than a king - Blaine Martin. A golden god... with a body sculpted to the proportions of Michelangelo's 'David.' He relinquishes the $20 and throws it to the...
Read moreWe had an incredibly disappointing dinner here since my favorite, Promise Thai, was closed. The only reason I didn't rate this place a one star is because my food (Pad Thai) was pretty good although my husband's beef and broccoli was really bland. The service we had however was nonexistent. There was one waitress for the entire floor. Part of running a business well is making sure you are properly staffed. It took 20-25 minutes after being seated for us to get water or see our waitress so we could get our orders taken. A table that came in 10 minutes after us got their appetizers and main course 20 minutes before we did. We pretty much got ignored the entire time because we were on an outside table. We were about to leave when our appetizer finally came. And when our main course came out, it was lukewarm. We never got a single refill of water, because our waitress never checked on us. I finally took my plate up to the front to get our own box and check because we were on a date without the kids and had already been waiting an hour just sitting there waiting some more. We didn't have a lot of time to do other things that we planned so it was very disappointing to be stuck there with terrible service because the restaurant did not take care of its employees or customers with reasonable staffing. We like to tip well, so it was very frustrating not to be able to do that. I honestly wish we'd left no tip to...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would, it takes a lot for me to leave reviews, especially for local/family owned businesses but I am pretty frustrated with this restaurant. The reviews were pretty good online, so I ordered a Pad Thai with chicken and paid almost 15 dollars including tip, its not exactly a cheap meal. I drove 20 minutes from home to pick up the take out, as soon as I arrived I noticed I got the completely wrong order which was just some fried rice. I called the restaurant and they told me to come back, of which I responded I am not going to spend another 40 minutes to get the correct dish and that I wanted a refund. They told me they couldn't refund me unless I went back in, so I told them I could go back the next day for my correct dish. The next day I call to make sure they prepared it and they told me the kitchen was closed (although their hours said open online) and to come on Friday (it was Wednesday and I ordered this on Tuesday) but I said okay. I called on Friday multiple times and not a single call was answered. I even left a voicemail and mentioned my next step was to dispute the charge on my card, and still no call. Horrible customer service and I will not be...
