I've thought about this review all day. This is about the 6th time since opening that I/we have tried it. We have done 2 large chicken orders in those. For reference, today, 12/30/18 I was ticket #81 on register 2, and my cashier was Angelica L. At least according to the ticket. Now, I will say, overall, the chicken is about what I would expect from Church's Chicken. It's a tiny bit overcooked, but not too far. The spicy is more overcooked, and not as spicy as some of the old locations were. I can live with all of that as a 4-5 star review. I am disappointed that they apparently don't want to honor Church's coupons, but I haven't even tried that. The service, is dead a$$ awful! The woman who helped us, I can't attest to if it was "Angelica L" or not, was a very hateful witch. I was done with her with how she helped the gentleman in front of us. He had a fairly large order, including several sides. She was too busy trying to say what he wanted to listen to what he REALLY wanted! It took forever to finally get his order. Not because it was hard or unreasonable, but because they wouldn't actually listen to him. She did acknowledge me, sarcastically to him, that she would be with us in a minute. He was being very cordial, but was getting VERY frustrated with them. It was very understandable considering he wasn't asking much, she wasn't actually listening, and acting like she was doing him a huge favor in actually giving him what he asked for!!! What a concept. After he was finally helped, she helped me/us. I wanted 30 pieces mixed in half spicy/half regular. Since she couldn't help a customer while we were there without saying we can't do that at least once, she told me they couldn't do that as 20 pc was the largest they did. I had to specify to do a 20 piece, and a 10 piece, and that equaled a 30 piece. That REALLY set her off. In the end, we got our 30 pieces. They once again didn't give me any spicy sprinkle. For reference, even asking I've only actually gotten it once. They are out. Oh, that was the last jab to the gentleman in front of me, he asked for spicy sprinkle. She snottily told him they didn't do that anymore! As another employee looked at her oddly, she corrected that they were actually just out of it. They were busy, but not like lines around the block busy. They had 1 car in the drive through when we got there, and 2 when we left. There were a couple of parties behind us in line inside. I love Church's Chicken, but this is not acceptable! In 6 visits, they actually gave the spicy sprinkle once when asked. This last time saying they were out. Apparently don't accept company coupons. We DID get our chicken in a VERY timely manner, especially considering we ordered 30 pieces. That old location on S West Street couldn't ever fill a 3 piece in less than 20 minutes, even when calling ahead. However, that service is not acceptable. At Kripsy's Chicken, the price for that would have been almost half the price. They don't have a spicy option, but their chicken is great tasting, never overdone, always juicy without being greasy, and the service is always spectacular. I will, for now, limit my Church's Chicken purchases for when I visit KC for work. The new location is taking for granted the amount of business they are getting, and it WILL be their downfall. It's sad, I really do love their chicken.
EDIT They also won't separate the spicy from regular when you order 50/50 for some reason. That's great for kids who don't like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo my first time going in this building was to pick up a DoorDash order I was horrified with the amount of cursing by the employees and there was a gentleman and a child sitting out front the gentleman was being extremely rude and using profanity towards the child calling him a little nig⦠Iād never talk to a child that way when I finally got the order I could not get out of their fast enough I felt like I was straight in the ghetto. So now fast forward about a month my mom wants food from there and knowing what the lobby I like I opt to go through the drive through I start placing my order donāt even barely get started with the order and the person interrupts me and I say I was getting to that had I not been interrupted not like it was a massive order was 2 #1 meals one with corn one with mashed potatoes one with coke one with sweet tea. After I said I was getting to that if Iād not been interrupted the person says well thatās my job I ask what is to interrupt customers because I thought it was to take orders and ask questions if you needed clarification. She then says if I donāt like it I can go elsewhere to order food I told her Iād gladly do just that as I donāt want my money going to a place that has 0 customer service skills. I will never spend my money at this place as I think kfc and Popeyes both have a lot better taste and flavor as it is. My mom thankfully witnessed this and has decided to also take her business elsewhere. So canāt rate food as I luckily didnāt get...

They just glance at me while im just watching all the employees filling up their boxes full of chicken. I say " whats going on?" The lady says " the manager said we not selling no more chicken." At this point im so im angry because ive been waiting too long in line for them to just stop selling when there is clearly chicken left that EMPLOYEES are rushing to take. ALTHOUGH, i still had hope they would at least sell me a small meal. so i tell the Lady that i have been in line since 10:10pm and she shrugs at me . at this point im livid and start to drive off when another employees stop me to ask if i wanted leg like she was giving me a secret deal. I say " a leg? Just ONE leg?!" And she looks back and says "nevermind its gone now" š” It was not so much that i didnt get food as my reason for anger ,I was so lost for words and disgusted at the lack of customer service. I cant even find a worse word for it IT WAS DISGUSTING clearly its a reflection of the poor management and coorperation of ChurchesChickenĀ® hopefully this message reaches...
