Georgio's BBQ — Restaurant in Wichita

I wanna first start on by saying that when we entered the establishment, nobody acknowledged us. There was no customer service. There were two workers behind preparing food with no hairnet one lady head on no gloves. I should’ve left them, but I was trying to give a black establishment, a good chance as a black woman. My husband are there for just a short period of time kind of driving through and decided to get some barbecue. Look them up seeing that I was a black establishment and we wanted to support it but like I said when we got there, nobody acknowledge us and there was not really any good customer service. This was October 9, 2025 by the way. We ate outside and I wanted to say I pay $36 for the amount of food that could be put in a little 9 x 9 foam container. Kinda had a funny taste. We thought it was just the seasoning that was off, but we did find out later why it taste so funny and that was more than likely because it may have been old or not stored properly, but my husband and I both Had some stomach issues following this meal. So if you ate there on Thursday, October 9, and you had some stomach issues and you had the pulled pork Gorgio’s was more than likely the culprit. All around I wanna give the food a whopping one star the cabbage taste just like cabbage, and it was overcooked cause it was falling apart the candy yams taste just like sweet potatoes with sugar no other seasonings no other anything. The pulled pork taste it kind of funny I just assume that it was season funny and now that it was old until later I found out it was more than likely old or not stored properly we didn’t smell any smoke anywhere while we were there. A guy pulled some meat off the grill. I didn’t smell any smoke. The meat couldn’t have been hot because he had his hand under the pain the whole time so I’m not for sure how long that meat was on the grill before it was taken off so I would not Suggest anybody go to this establishment. I have been to Georgio's twice now and OMG. I have tried their pulled pork, brisket, chicken, Oklahoma link, ribs, collard greens, and baked beans. Between the pork, brisket, chicken, and ribs, I am honestly not sure which is my favorite. The chicken is so juicy and tender, I forgot they gave me BBQ sauce because the flavor was so good. I'm from the south so I love their collard greens. They are clean and the texture/seasoning is just right. In addition to great smoked meats and sides, they do a great job of boxing everything up so that it isn't soggy by the time you get home. AND they give you plenty of BBQ sauce! If I had to name one dislike, I have not tried the Kansas hotlinks yet but the Oklahoma hotlinks have a flavor (it reminds of it fennel or oregano) inside of them that my taste buds just don't care for. But! It was still a good quality hotlink in terms of texture and it wasn't full of grease. This is definitely going to be a new regular spot for me.
