Spag's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Williamstown Township

One of our go to restaurants. Nice mix of sports bar/family restaurant. The food is good (not outstanding). Dishes vary from salads. Fried bar foods, burgers, grinders etc. I would say the most notable thing on the menu would be the pizza (my favorite is the spag special, the house version of a supreme). Prices are towards the high end (but still in range) of what you would expect to pay for the quality and portion of the meal (average $10 burger and fries). large drink selection, including some of the newest and most popular craft brews. However the beer prices are the highest in town unless you pop in on a night with a drink special. The service is notoriously slow. It would be pretty normal to wait between 30-60 minutes for a normal family order to be served. Funny thing about this is we don't usually mind due to the fact we almost always end up here with a group of friends and this provides you with a good chance to catch up with one another. The atmosphere is cool. The bar itself has a laid back vintage 70's vibe but the rest of the place is updated with modern HD flat screens, interesting sports memorabilia, and a cool little game room off to the back corner which includes pool tables, foosball, and a variety of classic arcade games. This area tends to get a little loud and obnoxious at prime times as parents tend to let their kids run free in the game area while they sit and eat (we are guilty of this ourselves). More often than not we are utterly disappointed in our service and dinner. Once entering the restaurant with only 3 other tables of customers , seating ourselves waiting for 20 minuets without a single server approaching us. We walked out and a person behind the counter said have a good night!! Tonight was no exception. While playing video games with our children waiting for our dinner to arrive the wait staff cleaned off our table. They threw away our drinks, my chili and removed all our silverware along with a large pile of candy my daughter had won. We waited for ever for our dinner and the waitress to refill our drinks. I ate my potato with no butter because she basically brought it with the bill. I approached the owner and let him know what happened right after he stated he was sorry and couldn’t do anything , but he would give my daughter some coins to try to win more candy. Arrived Thursday just after 5:00, was not very busy, waitress came right to the table took our order immediately and got our drinks. 45 minutes later we noticed that the table that came in 20 minutes after us got their food. Had to Flag the waitress down, said she gave the kitchen the order but they claimed they didn't get it. Another 20 minutes later our food came out and it was I guess okay at best. Not worth the high prices. No offer for something while we wait or a discount off our bill. Very disappointed, will not be back. PS , the adobo sauce they serve with the Billia tacos was way too spicy, braised meat in tacos was delicious, and the turkey in the grinder was very salty....
