Meeting On Main — Restaurant in Williston

I'll start by saying that 3 stars is probably generous. $15 buffet that consisted of fried chicken, fried chicken, baked chicken, mac with cheese, green beans, yams, rice, brown gravy, rolls/cornbread, pork with sauce, vegetable soup, a drink, salad bar, and a couple of desserts.

Fried chicken (both styles, although I couldn't tell the difference) was over done, baked chicken was under done, cold, and had no flavor. I listed mac with cheese above because there was definitely more mac than cheese. Green beans were good. Rice and gravy was typical. Initially, I could tell if it was actually pork or was tuna or salmon in the tray. Salad bar did offer a good selection and everything was fresh. Banana pudding was really just pudding with a few bananas and cookies thrown in as an afterthought. Peach cobbler was bland, could have been good with a little more cinnamon added.

I went to this place for the first time yesterday. I did a pickup as my first experience. I got home, and was informed that one of the meals was missing. I went back and told them what I was told was missing. after about a 30 minute wait, A gray haired man approached me , asking me to step outside. He proceeds to show me a picture of me walking out and across the porch with a bag. He is cocky and tapping the picture. You had all your items. in a cocky voice. Anyway within a minute of getting back and searching, the item had been placed in the microwave and totally forgot about. Anyway, the man only had to tell me they felt the order had been complete and I would have left anyway. Instead, this man has to make a first time customer feel like a criminal. I usually don't leave reviews because I feel like most people don't read them but this time I must. My family and I went to eat a late dinner around 6 pm we ordered the chicken tender platter, the 2 piece chicken dinner, the flounder and shrimp dinner and the shrimp dinner. I can say all of the food was bland. The mac and cheese and mashed potatoes had a soapy taste to them the sour cream served with the potato was spoiled and most of the food came out cold. The only slightly enjoyable bit was the fried food and even that was underwhelming. I understand we are in a pandemic because of covid 19 this food wasn't worth the $50 I just paid for it.
