Last Stand — Restaurant in Willows

It's been a couple years since we've been down to the Last Stand... it's still a funky kool place... Young lady, who took our order (Patty Melt & Rings / 2 sodas) was a bright and shiny face ❤️. I mentioned my wife and I were sharing the meal and the order came out split in 2 different boats (great communication on her part with the kitchen) 👍 Food was good and the condiment sauces 6 pack was the star of the food show 👍 👍 Note To The Manager/and or/owners: our 1 sandwich 1 side meal took 25 mins to be delivered. It appeared there were several big Phone / To-Go orders before us. It also appeared there was only 1 cook (who was doing more than just cooking) she was packaging & delivering all the To-Go customers as well... I would suggest that someone should have bailed her out, during that rush period. Note 2 to the boss: In the past, we've eaten out on the patio (picnic tables) - could not do that on this trip because all the tables (except for 1) that was occupied, had no umbrellas... and it was a warm afternoon. So I work for a business that has me traveling a lot, and my colleague and I are looking for something close and good after a very long day or work. I look up restaurants near me and this place pops up. The pics look good and I've been out in CA for a while now and haven't found a good burger joint...BAM there it is and only 1/2 mile away. we load up and never looked back. The parking leaves a little to be desired, but finding a spot we headed in. The bar is both on the inside and the outside. The waitress/bartender came quickly to take our drink order even though she was the only one there and was very nice. Another gentleman came from the back a few minutes later and took our food order. He was extremely knowledgeable of the menu, and is a fan of the New Orleans Saints... WHO DAT! The burger that I ordered was customized with grilled string onions and grilled jalapenos. It was the best burger since coming to CA back in May. It wasn't to pricey, but the fries were a little on the hefty priced side as they were sold a la carte'. Overall I give it a 5 star. This place is definitely not to be missed if you travel on...

Great small local bar and burger spot!!

My husband and I had seen this spot several times, but it was always busy. We recently had a rare afternoon without the child, so we decided to stop in.

Food was actually really good. Most times, when you see a small bar spot, you assume it's drunk food. 🥴 NO! This place is awesome and has great customer service.

Small outdoor bar area, open-air style with outdoor patio style seating. There is also indoor seating in a long, narrow building. The bar seats to your left as you enter are pretty neat, in my opinion, with the television and bartender right at your convenience. There was plenty of indoor seating, and we happen to have the inside to ourselves.

We both had burgers, one with shoe string fries and one onion ring. Typical fries with the shoe string style, but the onion rings were perfect. Batter was light and crisp and the onion stayed in tact and didn't slide out when eaten like most.
