Trezza Pizzeria — Restaurant in Wilmington

Ordered a Margherita Sicilian pizza with half pepperoni and half sausage, and this is what we got. As you can see, there’s barely any cheese and actually zero basil on the pizza, despite basil being included on the website description of what comes on their Margherita pizza. I’m not sure if i’m the one confused or if it’s their cooks but when I ordered half sausage and half pepperoni, I understood that to mean half the pizza would have sausage and half the pizza would have pepperoni on top of the traditional Margherita ingredients… however what we got was sausage and pepperoni together on only one half of the pizza. The rest of the pizza was bare and as I mentioned before, it had very little cheese and no basil so basically half of our pizza was just sauce and bread… good news was their sauce and bread tasted good? Just was totally not what was ordered or advertised. Not sure we’ll risk ordering from here again but...

I have never written a bad review. I am not just saying that. But this place was hyped up way too much for me not to leave this here. When you go for Italian pizza, you expect at least the mozzarella cheese not to taste and feel like plastic. We got a gluten free pizza with 6 pepperoni on it and mushrooms that were considerably past their prime. The gluten free crust was the worst I've ever eaten (it was so cardboard-like that it wouldn't even brown--and we put it back in the oven at home. Twice). And this is a world that has begun to hone a pretty tasty gluten free crust. Plus, the salad came with 4 tiny dry pieces of "grilled chicken". I wish I had good words to say. Friendly staff, at least....

We ordered two large pizzas, one pepperoni and one buffalo chicken. The boxes were so light when I carried them out of the restaurant that I checked to make sure both boxes actually had pizza in them when I got to my car. There was very little substance to either pizza, maybe two quarter-sized pieces of chicken on each slice and barely any cheese. Pepperoni had slightly more meat on it, but again VERY little cheese. The dough was extremely thin, bland and dry. Most of the crust was so hard you couldn’t even bite into it...my dog wouldn’t even eat the leftover crust. Unfortunately, we won’t be ordering from here again, which is a bummer because we enjoy the food at the other...
