River Eatery — Restaurant in Winchester

First time at the River Eatery. I ordered the clam strips platter with a side order of 6 jumbo shrimp. It came with a side of coleslaw and steak fries. There was something missing with the coleslaw flavor wise. But the fries were cooked to perfection, a little crunch outside and soft tater on the inside. The platter also came with 3 fresh lemon wedges and a couple leafs of lettuce. The clam strips were also cooked very well. Fried seafood can tend to be chewy/stringy. These were anything but. The side order of jumbo shrimp was just that. They were deep fried and delicious. Usually jumbo shrimp means bigger than tiny. Not at River Eatery. These 6 shrimp were HUGE. They were cooked to perfection with the right amount of crispyness combined with natural juicyness. Tried the special of the day chicken sandwich and side and a large coffee. Huge servings, malt vinegar at the tables, incredibly friendly staff and the coffee is SOOOO good!

I see a lot of outgoing food orders for delivery, which is an EXCELLENT sign (means that locals love it!) I've had breakfast here as well and always loved what I order. Only problem is that the servings are so plentiful that I can't finish it all and have to bring half home. Wait, is that actually a problem??? Nope! I get the bonus of another fantastic meal later!

-Outside lighting needed -advertisment (you're not running a place good enough for word of mouth) -canoes decorated outside the facility -interior design (who ever designed the interior lol needs to be fired) make sure interior design matches the brand and genre/theme of what you sell.... -invest In a rewards program -summer time (invest in outdoor seating) -revamp menu -did I mention advertise? -invest in a catering menu -put yourself on ezcatering -if I had extra liquid cash I would of bought this place from you... it's a gem that unfortunately is ran without passion -redesign the...
