Andy's Diner — Restaurant in Windfall City

I’m not particularly a fan of walking in to a restaurant and being unsure of whether there is a host or its seat yourself so you just stand there for 5 minutes not knowing what to do. No obvious signage, certainly nobody to greet you—there is however no shortage of employees. Was at least 5 employees at the front of the house chit chatting it up. Owner must enjoy having more employees on payroll than customers. Sat at my table for almost 10 minutes, no water on a 90° day, no menu, no “I’ll be with you in a moment”, no nothing. This was my 3rd time at Andy’s and I assure you it will be my last. Other times I’ve been here the food was decent and the restaurant is reasonably clean. Typically when someone walks into a restaurant ready to spend money, one might think paid staff are instructed to at least greet them. Just sloppy, lazy, and unorganized. If you’re an Elwood old timer and lucky enough to be recognized as a regular then I’m sure you’ll have a great experience. If you’re just stopping by and you’re hungry and want to eat something quick I suggest you keep on rolling by. The food was delicious. It is a tad on the pricey side. The service was pretty good, although we did have to flag down our waitress a couple of times. The fried mozzarella triangles were fantastic. The breaded mushrooms were okay. The breading on them was a little lumpy and too crispy. I thoroughly enjoyed the skewered shrimp, but the steaks were too peppery for my son and mother. They offer various flavors add to their sodas for unique flavor combinations. They have some suggested flavor combinations as well as allowing you to choose your own mixture. The worst experience EVER! Ordered a taco salad no onions or green peppers extra meat! Got it home to literally 6 chips and barely any meat at all! This isn’t the first or second time they have messed things up don’t ever give us all our food your suppose to get so I called this one time! A girl answers told her what happened she went and talked to a guy named Andy who I found out is actually the owner he said yea that’s how we make them 😂 I literally thought she was joking no not at all! 6 chips 😂 who talks and treats their customers that way.....
