This place is disappointing in so many ways. Food was meh, management does not care. I visited back in February with my family. The food runner spilt hollandaise on my new beige coat and ran off. I told our server, quietly paid the bill since a manager never came to our table, and waited to talk to him after we paid. He "apologized" didn't comp my meal or anything, and told me to get my coat dry cleaned, send him the bill, and he would reimburse me. I did that, never got reimbursed and the stains didn't come out. After multiple emails and back and forth, finally talked to John who told me upper management wanted me to send the coat back so they could clean it. I got the coat back to them, hear nothing despite reaching out for an update, and randomly get a box from a Kia dealership with my coat in it and a note saying we cleaned your coat, hope to see you soon. There were still stains on it and now the filling was totally ruined and deformed and bunched up. I try contacting John via email, no reply. I called the new store, the woman at the car dealership he originally told me to deal with and then took it back, and finally got a hold of him to express my frustration and he told me he forwarded it to senior management and it was no longer his problem (professional for a GM, right?!). I then tried to reach out on FB since no one from mystery senior management contacted me despite John telling me they were going to multiple times, and they deleted my post and blocked me. Then I contacted the BBB. Friendly Reds lied, said it was my fault the sauce spilled since I reached for my plate (which was a lie, but imagine?!) and since they dry cleaned the coat, felt the matter was closed. Not only did they not keep their word with my dry cleaning and coat refund, but they ruined my coat and blatantly lied and stopped replying to BBB. Their lack of professionalism and accountability is appalling. I managed a large restaurant for over 10 years and never would I ever handle a situation like this. I kept my mouth shut trying to let them just do the right thing since accidents can happen but this is just a blatant slap in the face. Do better.

I regret to inform that our recent takeout experience at Friendly Reds was deeply disappointing. As a treat for my family after a long week, I had high expectations, but what we received was far from satisfactory. Firstly, the accuracy of our order was severely lacking. Out of the four meals we ordered, only two were correct. Such a mistake on a busy Friday night might be understandable, but it significantly impacted our dining experience. The quality of the food was another letdown. The burger melt, requested to be cooked medium, arrived well-done, stripping it of its juiciness and flavor. Even more distressing was the Texas toast – it was so burnt that it became inedible, forcing my mother to discard it. This isn’t the standard I expected from a restaurant with a reputation for good food. Furthermore, the deluxe turkey sandwich was a cause for frustration. Despite specifically requesting no avocado and no cheese, as shown in our food chit, these ingredients were present. Having to scrape them off diminished the overall enjoyment and convenience of the meal. While the other two meals were passable, they didn’t compensate for the overall lackluster experience. At Friendly Reds, where we spent $77, we expected a meal that would be a delightful end to our week. Instead, we were left with dissatisfaction and the feeling that our hard-earned money was not well spent. ******UPDATE: After speaking with the General Manager, John, regarding our previous experience, I am updating my review. John sincerely apologized and informed me that he would be addressing the situation with his team. Additionally, he kindly sent us a gift card, showing a commitment to customer satisfaction. I appreciate his professional handling of the situation. Everyone can make mistakes, and I believe they have made a genuine effort to rectify ours. We’re definitely willing to give Friendly Reds another try.

We showed up about 6 on a Tuesday evening. Pretty busy place for a Tuesday. We waited about five minutes for the host to show up and seat us. The inside was pretty slammed so we sat outside, which was nicely set up. The waitress was pleasant, but seemed new or overwhelmed. Throughout the meal we had to kindly ask her for napkins for the apps, silverware for our meals, and salt and pepper for our food. Things that are normally there at the start. The nachos were a great start, and the high point honestly. I love queso on nachos, as it's not a race against time to eat them before the cheese congeals into a solid mass. Salsa was fresh and tasty with just a kick of spice. The chicken Caesar salad was just as advertised and what you'd expect. Fresh lettuce. The baked haddock was overcooked and rubbery as a result. It also was a little bland. But a lil S&P quickly fixed that. The "seasoned" french fries were anything but. Not a granule of salt to be found on these limp, lifeless, bad boys. Although the fries are fresh and made in house, you can tell they are only fried once. Anyone that makes homemade fries knows you need to fry them twice. Once at a lower temp to cook them, then again at a higher temp to get that crispy, snappy bang of a fry. I also unfortunately found a long black hair in my order of French fries. I just removed it and carried on. As a result they were soggy, greasy sponges, and limp. So much promise, and just a drop of the ball. Drinks were delicious I will say! The Mai Tai was fruitier than usual, but still strong and tasty. I've heard great things about Friendly Reds, but they just didn't live up to my expectations. I will give it another shot, as I've heard they have some of the best home made meatballs out there. I still regret not getting the meatball sandwich. Until next time.

I don’t want to mock it the place. I only leave this in hope that the owners see this and understand that my only intentions are to help better their operations

Menu/pricing -Pricing is actually extremely fair. If anything, they may be the cheapest lunch/dinner place in Derry/surrounding towns -What I’m confused about is that your menu will describe a sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes within its own description, but then the server will ask if you want LTO and then charge the one dollar for those items on your bill. I’m not crying over one dollar, especially considering the relatively low priced menu.. but it doesn’t make sense. Not to mention the turkey burger I order didn’t come with the sauce that’s within its own description. Menu training definitely goes along way, I highly recommend using online test platforms to help train, and make sure that the servers and cooks are knowledgeable to the menu. It’s a ton of extra work on management in the short run, but it will be on extremely beneficial for all long-term (For the owners, definitely consider, adding at least a 5% increase to your menu. Your prices are almost too low 🤣)

Food quality: As for the turkey burger and the burger, the protein itself was tasty and cooked excellently, no issues there. The buns, however, felt and tasted like they were freshly out of a package and nothing else done in one. I can tell they attempted to put it on a griddle, but you definitely want to keep it on the grill longer. The bun did not soften up at all and that there is a huge difference in quality when you can toast the bun just right. As for the tomatoes on the burger, you could feel that age of the produce. feels like a pre-sliced product and not as fresh as it could be

Atmosphere: Place looks great! Nice job on the Reno, turning the music 15% down would yield in a very nice atmosphere

Overall, I’m going to keep giving these guys a chance, and I hope they continue to hone in on the kitchen crew with the quality of the food. This place has so much potential and I’m certainly...
