The 87 Diner — Restaurant in Windsor Place

The worse darn cookin in the county is more like it. I'm not some bitter individual who is out for revenge, but after a couple days working there and leaving, its a miracle they are allowed to be open at all. i have a culinary degree and an outstanding resume. NOTHING there is home cooked. Seriously nothing. Everything is from a box or bag. Their hamburgers sit in a pan full of water after being half cooked for the day, their specials are made and cooked well in advance for the afternoon, and they do not have even one "sani" bucket on the line for sanitation upkeep. Check out their health and safety violations and seriously consider if you would want to stop there. I do know two things for certain; 1) I (or those i know) will never eat there after what i saw, i would not even have an employee meal while i was there! 2) Route B Cafe has always been better food since i have been in Boonville anyway. I had tried both places and unrelated to this, had long made that determination not to eat...

First of all the first waitress was rude second I'm highly allergic to pickles when my food got there guess what yep pickles on my plate sent it back thinking they would make me another fresh plate nope just took the pickles off asked to speak to the owner turns out the owner was the cook did they take off some of the price for my food heck no third my husband ordered grilled fish well they rolled it in cornmeal and grilled it which I've never heard of doing it well it made my husband sick after we left. We should have just walked out when pickles where...

Kind of a truck stop restaurant. Think, "Your Aunt's Down-home Denny's".

The service is friendly. The prices are MORE than reasonable. The selections are pretty numerous. The food comes out pretty quickly. The portions are generous. The food is good. They have daily specials. They have a smoking section.

This restaurant is like my review. Direct and to the point... Hungry? Eat!
