Pros; the service was pretty good. Catfish was decent as well. Loaded Potato was good. These brought it up to 2 from 1. Neutral; shrimp was ok but over cooked a bit. Price for most of the menu was reasonable. Cons; chicken was over cooked to the point peta should be called for animal abuse 😕 it was just dry and to be blunt, not good. Okra was soggy and greasy. The steamed vegetables were bland and tasted freezer burnt. All in all, a few pros but unfortunately just the majority of the meal wasn’t good. I hate to knock a locally owned restaurant, but it is what it is 🤷🏻.

Love this place, the food is great and the staff are out of this world. I will travel from Tuscaloosa to Cedar Landing just for the Chicken Fried Steak. Awesome place, don't miss it. Sorry, but I have to update my review. They no longer open on Saturday until 3:00 pm, too late for us on a Saturday from Tuscaloosa. We will miss you guys.

Stayed in the area and this seemed to be a nice little place and it was don’t let the exterior fool ya. We were able to see Bama beat TN!! I had the salad bar, which was amazing, also grilled chicken tenders and fries. It was all so good.

Saturday April 8, 2017 Food is usually fairly good. Went last Saturday night (4/8/17) the fish wasn't done, basically raw meal. My onion rings were the same way. Both needed to be cooked longer or the grease wasn't hot enough (probably both.) We very nicely told the lady when we paid. Her response was: "Do you want me to take it off your bill?" (With a snarl) If she had not had that attitude about it, I would not be writing this review. We told her not to worry, we just wanted her to know so they could adjust the cooking time, so that it wouldn't happen to anyone else. She didn't even thank us. We had eaten there a couple of weeks prior and everything (including the fish) was cooked like it should have been. On this visit our fish portions had decreased in size by about 40% since two weeks ago. We were both amazed at how small they were. Just two or three years ago it would have taken 4 to 6 pieces of the ones we got Saturday night to be equal to the serving size from back then. Oh, yeah, don't order the sweet potato fries. They count them so that they can be sure that you don't get too many!

DEFINITELY NOT BASHING THEM. JUST WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW SO THEY CAN BE THERE...

My friend saw a dead roach in the restroom. Some hateful loud mouth woman kept screaming and being hateful as hell to a waitress or bus person not sure. Maybe she was the manager because she had her name on her apron I'm not for sure though. Someone at the next table said he was pretty sure she's actually just the owner's daughter so that's why she gets away with being hateful to other employees. We couldn't even enjoy our our meal because we could hear her berating that poor kid from the kitchen as well. And the roach was the last straw for us. How could you risk your family's business by acting treating people like that in front of customers? We usually order out instead of dine in, but won't even be giving this place a...

Last night was our first time visiting this restaurant. We went for dinner. I decided to just get a salad, and they have a salad bar which is always my favorite! I would have rated 5 stars except for the lettuce. If you guys would just change your shredded iceberg lettuce to some healthier greens it would make for a much better salad bar. That shredded iceberg lettuce reminded me of the limp lettuce that fast food places use. Otherwise, all your toppings were delicious. My boyfriend is allergic to bread & he ordered grilled chicken & coleslaw. We realized when we got back to the room that they forgot the coleslaw & gave him bread. Which sadly he can't eat. Always check your food before you leave any...
